West Beach Cantina - A Must-Visit in Robe

We dined at West Beach Cantina tonight and were thoroughly impressed! We found a lovely outdoor table, perfect for enjoying the summer evening. The atmosphere was relaxed, with great music at a conversational volume and plenty of shade to escape the heat. A selection of game boards kept both kids and adults entertained, adding a fun touch to the experience.

The food was outstanding! We tried the nachos, burrito, and their recommended special, the fish taco—everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Our daughter devoured her burrito in minutes, and the portions were generous while being reasonably priced for a peak-season tourist town.

If you’re staying in Robe and planning a few meals out, West Beach Cantina should definitely be on your list. We’ll happily return next time...

I really wanted to love this place, burrito vendors are few and far between in Australia and after spending 20+ years in California I was stoked to see burritos on Robe’s main drag. Servings were ample and prices reasonable, but the distance from Mexico was very evident in the ingredients: plain white rice would never be found in an authentic burrito, meat (we tried the pork and chicken) was bland and the salsas didn’t excite. This place has got the VIBE going !!! Came to pick up takeaway and ended up having margaritas too :-) Food was spot on. You have to give Baja Fish tacos a go, they are super good. We have black rice burritos and some open burrito bowl and every one of them were made very well. Guys behind counter have a permanent smile and you can tell they are having fun.

And the margaritas… ufff !!! They were balanced and flavourful. I had chilli margarita, which I loved.
