Robe Seafood & Takeaway — Restaurant in Robe

Went to Robe seafood takeway today. Was there at 11am which is the opening hours that Google states only to find out after standing out there for 5 minutes and no one came to open the door. This was when I rang the store to speak to Karren who told me that they apparently "do not" have opening hours. After waiting patiently and entering the establishment and ordering the seafood back the staff was unable to explain to me the difference between crumbed and battered fish. After finally deciding and waiting 5 minutes for our order the rude staff member placed the order and the counter and rudely walked off.was not satisfied the food was oily and the fish was dry and did not taste fresh. Would not recommend to anyone and go to the bakery...

Popped in again & bought the one piece of fish with chips pack (tartare & lemon slice included). The very decent sized piece of fish with a thin coating of batter was fresh & delicious. Cooked perfectly. Ample crunchy chips.

Popped in to buy something sweet on my way home this evening. 3ppl in the shop waiting for cooked food. I picked up a chocolate bar & stood at the counter for ages. Noticed a young male almost hiding to the side of behind the counter doing nothing while the other worker was busy wrapping takeaway. I moved & waved to get his attention so i could be served this simple transaction. Poor training obviously being given to this young employee. If he can't face the customer he needs to find...

Went to visit Robe for the day. We had our hearts set on having fish and chips-( Snapper). The person who served me wasn’t unpleasant or rude, though didn’t have much retail personality. I was told there was no Snapper, so this being said we were disappointed though I understand this can happen, though having N/A near Snapper price would have been helpful. In saying this we decided to have Flathead which wasn’t too bad and I will say that the chips were crunchy on the outside and fluffy inside. I thought it was a given, when ordering fish and chips that lemons are in the order, but NO, apparently not at this Fish and Chip shop, which was disappointing. A big plus for the chips!!!
