Guichen Bay Motel — Hotel in Robe

We drove past this motel twice because it was only rated as 3 stars. But given its location and how it looked from the outside we decided to try it. Stopped outside looking for Reception - there isn’t any. Rang the number on the wall of the hotel and seamlessly checked in giving credit card over the phone. The room is really clean and obviously recently refurbished. It has a kettle, microwave, fridge and toaster. A 32in Kogan Smart tv. Walking distance to everything in town. Bathroom is a bit basic but not an issue for us. Good value...

Slept well here in busy period around New Year. It should be noted....walls seem wafer thin and I could hear entire conversation in room next door. Very well located. Price ok. Very good service. Tied up with an interesting drinks bar with light food, but I preferred to eat elsewhere. Partly for variation. Should also be noted that there doesn't seem to be any really great places to stay in town from what I saw, but hard to say. Recent two night stay in Robe. Have visited often but haven’t stayed here before. A very nice surprise indeed. Centrally located. We had a two bedroom family room, which was roomy and comfortable. There was a small kitchen area, good for breakfast. We walked across the road to the local cinema and also dined at the adjoining tapas bar.
