Aldgate Bakery — Restaurant in South Australia

Bought a pie in winter last year that was that cold that I nearly took it back and asked for it to be reheated. Instead took the rest home and reheated it in microwave which made it soggy but at least hot. Today when I asked whether the pies were hot I was met with a quite defensive response of what do you mean hot??? I do a lot of driving daily for work and call into various bakery’s at lunch time and had been meaning to call into aldgate bakery for a while, yesterday I stopped in and brought a steak and cheese pie, now my life has been changed forever, it was amazing, this bakery is my new favourite, only problem is I will never be able to just drive past again! The best chocolate eclairs I’ve ever eaten (even better than a chocolate eclair I had in France!!). Fresh cream, perfect pastry (crisp without being hard, soft without being soggy) and chocolate icing that doesn’t crack and fall off when you bite into it but also not runny that it sticks to the takeaway paper bag (and lose half when you try and get the eclair out!!). I’d give them a 6/5...
