Blue Marlin Takeaway Maleny — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

We stopped here for lunch after visiting the Maleny Dairies and were very pleasantly surprised. We saw that the star rating was average but since we weren’t from the area just decided to go with the quickest and easiest food. Well we felt the average star rating did not reflect what we got. The service was exceptional. The food was fantastic. Our daughters had chicken nuggets and devoured them in super speed. The chips were very yummy. Also got a hamburger and fish burger. My Son and I called in to the Blue Marlin Takeaway while we were on our road trip from Cairns to the NRL Magic round.

Absolutely, without a doubt, the best hamburger with the lot I've ever had. The salad was fresh, real bacon was used, the buns were locally made just down the road and the meat pattie was divine.

The chips were cooked to perfection with just the right level of crunch, and were the perfect compliment to an amazing burger.

It's surprisingly difficult to find the humble Hamburger done well, but the Blue Marlin Takeaway has perfected it. insert Chef kiss here

Had a chicken schnitzel burger and it was just a frozen home brand pattie and so far it’s winning the gold medal for the worst burger I’ve had in 2022 but it’s a takeaway so you don’t have high expectations. But what was really disappointing was hearing the staff criticise customers whilst those customers are in the shop. I understand it must be frustrating dealing with people sometimes but either have the courtesy to speak to their face or wait until there gone and voice your criticisms not talk behind their backs whilst your cooking the food.
