Super underwhelming -like Average with a capital A -Decor and eatery outside are average at best, bar offerings are beer and a few tidbits to be expected, it is a brewery. The food was OK, I guess. I've eaten in pretty much every restaurant on the coast, I have lived here for 25 years, and I have never in my life experienced the attitude and dismissive personality from 2 staff that my friends experienced here.
When we arrived, we were told our table was outside. However, the people on it were still there as we were 15 minutes early - attendant was rude and told us we would have to wait- OK, we can grab a drink inside, she makes out like that is also going to be a problem. We point to the corner of the bar far off towards the brewing area ask if it's OK to sit there -meh seems like that will be OK - sit down, order, wait. At 12.30, I approach the attendant, and she told me no, the table outside is not ready and that the corner of the bar we were sitting in was our table- I'm sorry, what? We booked for a table outside -no, she repeats there was no note on the booking, and they are super busy and have a table inside for us. This is all done with disdain and an aggressive tone. Head back to the bar, again she approaches and tells us we will have to wait if we want a table outside, repeating the tables' story but differently. Blah blah, this goes on for nearly 1/2 hour super unimpressed, stories keep changing now the staff are avoiding eye contact, one is crying, manager approaches, and criticises the girls for her staff crying. The interactions I am witnessing are far below average the interpersonal skills required for hospitality; I mean, it's intrinsic. It's actually in the description of the job -hospitality. I'm bored and exhausted and don't want to spend a single cent at this joint, but the group want to stay - lousy move. All the average food arrives, one meal was missed, and water and wine replenishments are slow. When they realise they have missed a meal, the manager is like, "Oh well, you will enjoy it when it comes", haha. Ah yeah, Nah - one saving grace the blonde waitress that came off a double shift was super professional and friendly and tried to make up for the whole hoo-hah -you lady are a diamond to this joint. 2nd Saving grace, the fellow behind the bar was a superstar - they should have him working the floor.
Food Review -I had a burger. It tasted like a burger. The chips were good salty. Sharing board average, few bits of meat and some charred bread, dry smoked chicken and a couple of chutneys, chicken salad boring, fish repeated on the two girls who ate it for hours afterwards.

Read moreCame here as we were passing through Maleny. My partner and I are huge fans of the beers. We were looking forward to this quite a bit. When we walked in no one greeted us despite there being a substantial number of staff floating around having a chat with each other and not doing anything. Having worked in hospitality for a number of years I am aware there is always something to do so was a little perplexed. I grabbed a lunch menu from the counter and headed to the back deck (as no one had approached us). This seemed to get attention as a young waitress blocked my path, literally snatched the menu from my hand and told me they were fully booked before turning on her heel and storming off. I tried to tell her I just wanted to see what food they served for future but she was already off in conversation with her colleagues. I know the word 'literally' is overused but this is exactly what happened. My partner, her mother and I were stunned by what had happened. As I said I was really looking forward to visiting Brouhaha as I really enjoy the beers. We proceeded out to the deck and once we had decided what to get I walked back inside. I stood at the counter while 3 staff members were on the other side talking about a debacle that had happened on their shift the night before. They were so deep in conversation that I was ignored until it concluded. I must admit, it was a very interesting story but the professionalism is clearly lacking in this establishment and I feel staff could do with more customer service training. Once the young girl (a different one this time) finished the story I was served my beers. The beers, as always, were spectacular. The milk stout was exceptionally good. Our group commented a number of times how disappointed we were with the quality of service but we did end up having a laugh about it in the end. I really wanted to enjoy this place but the service left a bitter taste in our mouths and ruined the experience hence only 2 stars. I wouldn't go back to visit but it won't stop me buying the...
Read morePlease check my trip advisor review of the brewery which I highly rate. The food end of the establishment is extremely questionable. Interestingly my wife and I both had a good food experience here the day before I am reviewing. I say good, not great. I do not hold the front end staff responsible for the debacle that was my Saturday nights dinner that I never ate, but paid for! Simply, I ordered the steak “special” which was a new york cut 250gm for $39. My steak came out at the same time as my wifes Barramundi, she entirely enjoyed hers. I started on my steak only to find that the first cut was way overdone, I crept along the steak in the hope that it would be less cooked in other areas. I guess I had three mouthfuls of steak over five minutes and discussed the fact that I did not want to send it back. It was overcooked and all parties agreed that was the case, the waitress, the chef and the front end manager! However it was deemed that I had “eaten too much” of the offending steak for the chef to “allow” a recook! Even now as I write this five days later I am incensed at the idiocy this person has shown, did I want to stuff up my own meal? Was I whinging for nothing? Am I a person trying to get extra value? WOW When the waitress returned with my meal to tell me I had eaten too much I told her to take the entire dish away as I could not possibly eat anything after being framed as I was! So my night ended up with me not eating a meal, paying $20 for my meal (never eaten) and my wife and myselfs night destroyed by some small minded ignoramous whom hopefully feels special now! The front end manager was horrified at the responce from the kitchen, he however was powerless todo anything as the kitchen is outsourced. The front end manager tried everything he could to make good! Complimentary drinks etc, however the fact remains that I had to pay for a meal That was overcooked and that I did not eat! Brouhaha owners, do yourselves a favour and...
