After hearing from a few people at work how good Hello Harry is, I was very disappointed.
My wife and I with our son, placed our order with the server and took a seat at our table.
We both had a Big Kahuna burger with hers having avocado, son had a pulled pork burger. As sides we ordered sweet potato fries and onion rings along with our drinks.
After about 10 minutes a lady brought out our drinks and we realised my beer had been missed which was rectified (the ordering system was down and the beer had been left off their order list on paper). All good we started chatting and waited for the food to arrive.
Sides arrived, we received a bowl of fries and a bowl of sweet potato fries, we asked the server to take the bowl of fries back as we ordered onion rings. The sweet potato fries were cold, with a few select warm fries on the bottom of the bowl, we asked our server to feel them and sent them back, a few minutes later the chef stormed out asking what was wrong with them as due to being hungry we ate the lukewarm ones. He told us we weren't getting a fresh batch, only a half serve as we had already eaten some, we were a bit taken aback by the rudeness, but agreed. Our burgers arrived shortly after and thankfully they were lovely and juicy and hot. Then halfway through mine and my wife was roughly quarter of the way through hers and she asked me if there was pineapple on my burger, had a look and nope, none on either. I ate mine and she took hers to the front counter after opening it up. The chef flew out and took hers back and brought it back out with the pineapple on it. The server gave her a card for a free burger.
Once we were close to finishing our food, the drink server came over to ask how our food and experience had been. At this point we were honest with her, to which she was very apologetic for how the situation was handled by her staff (She informed us that she was the manager but only for the week prior) she apologised and we recieved two vouchers worth what we paid for our meals with an invitation and a promise that on our next visit our experience would be much much better.
So to Jenny the manager tonight at Ocean St Hello Harry, thank you for saving at least some stars on this review, I would have given it a 1.5 (the burgers despite missing ingredients really were lovely and tasty, but we never actually got our sweet potato fries back) if not for your approaching us and speaking with us like human beings.

I give zero stars to the staff. Why? Because the dropkick that "served" us was so rude and disinterested he barely managed to mumble out the amount for us to pay through his clear disdain for customers. Was he just having a bad day? Apparently not because he spent the whole time we were there talking to his girlfriend at another table! He was having a blast with her and her friend. But as soon as other people came in his undying hatred and disgust for customers washed over him like a tsunami. He treated everyone that walked in to the place like absolute scum. Including making grotesque faces and rolling his eyes to his girlfriend while taking the customers orders out. So between goofing around with his female friends and talking on his mobile phone WHILE cooking the greasy mess you claim to be "burgers", my friends and I watched as he ignored customers who came in and left without being served! Lucky for them them didn't have to experience the unbelievably rude and disgusting service from the lunatic behind the counter. Why this person has a job at all completely defies believe. This was the worst customer experience I have had in 20 years. I do not recommend this place. Even if the clown was fired, I would still never go...
ย ย ย Read moreSuch a let down. Went here on Friday night at about 5:30pm. It was quiet with only 2 other tables occupied. First off they forgot our drinks. After asking twice we finally received them. The burgers we ordered were terrible. We both left more than half on the plate. One was so tough it was like it was served on plywood. The other just tasted like bun and mayo with virtually no filling. When you pay almost $50 for 1 small serving of chips, 2 drinks and 2 burgers I expected so much more. For a place that specialises in burgers - I could have made something so much better at home for a fraction of the price.
Update If you receive a message back to your review asking for you to email them - don't waste your time. They obviously do this to make it look like they care to anyone reading the Google reviews. The response from the owner after sharing a real experience as a paying customer confirms that I will not be returning nor recommending this...
