The menu at Jango Korean BBQ Restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious Korean dishes, but the real standout was their Korean barbecue. The experience of grilling your own meat right at the table is something that everyone should try at least once. The quality of the meat was outstanding, and the flavours were absolutely mouth-watering. Each bite was a tantalizing explosion of savoury goodness.
What truly set Jango Korean BBQ Restaurant apart, however, was the exceptional service provided by the staff, especially the manager. The entire team was attentive, friendly, and genuinely interested in making sure that every guest had a memorable dining experience. They were more than happy to guide us through the menu, explain different dishes, and even offer personalized recommendations based on our preferences. Their attentiveness and willingness to accommodate any special requests truly elevated the dining experience.
Moreover, the manager deserves special mention for going above and beyond to ensure that we had an enjoyable time. He personally checked on our table multiple times, making sure we had everything we needed and even engaging in delightful conversation. His dedication and commitment to customer satisfaction were truly remarkable.

Read moreDisgusting, dangerous and dishonest. Do not eat here.
We visited Jango Korean in Kawana on a special soup night and it was, without exaggeration, one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had and potentially dangerous.
We ordered two soup sets, which came with a selection of sides that all tasted strange, not in the usual fermented or funky Korean way, but like they were improperly stored or past their best. The bulgogi soup was mediocre at best, greasy and bland. The spicy beef soup had an actual layer of oil nearly an inch thick. Both soups tasted old, like they had been sitting pre-cooked for hours or even days.
But the biggest red flag was the kimchi. It was slimy, mushy, and reeked of sour dairy, with milky white chunks floating in it—nothing like fresh, crunchy, tangy kimchi. When we politely asked the waitress about it, she casually that it was old and “that’s why it smells like that.” She said it was made in house and that we had received the 3 months old kimchi. Mid-meal, we started feeling nauseous, left early, and within 100 meters were vomiting.
We returned to tell them and suddenly the story changed, now the kimchi was from a supplier and “only opened yesterday.” Then, after an hour of waiting for the manager, he finally called and gave yet another version: apparently, it was from a “2-day-old” batch. Zero consistency. Zero accountability for serving off food. Half an apology that seemed like they just wanted us to be out of there and awkward backpedaling and dismissiveness while we were physically sick on our holiday.
This wasn’t just a bad meal. It was unsafe food, incompetent handling, and contradictory responses that scream cover-up. If they can’t be honest about something as serious as spoiled food causing illness, they don’t deserve...

———Food———
The food was fantastic. I ordered the sizzling Bulgolgi that came with small side dishes like rice, radish, and seaweed. That was my favourite.
The fried chicken was also great. The tteokbokki was just okay, I didn’t think there were enough on the plate and there were more onion and veggies than rice cakes there.
The barbecuing meat is quite expensive. It will be better to cook the meat first and then cut with the scissors after, because a lot of the meat, namely chicken and pork, were quite fatty and hard to cut when raw. The wagyu was marbled meat and was sublime.
They serve a variety of alcoholic beverages, including Soju in multiple flavours.

The staff were attentive to the needs of customers, and helpful and friendly. The did a great job of serving the food. The chefs worked well and quickly, and meals were delivered to tables within 10 minutes.
The barbecue grill is large and can accomodate much food, so you can fry a lot at a time.
———Atmosphere———
The style of the restaurant is modern, comfortable, and minimal. They have a lovely traditional tile decoration along the walls, and two television screens showing videos of people enjoying Korean BBQ, as well as some K-POP music videos. The volume of the tv wasn’t loud, so I don’t think any Audio was coming out. Great for hearing your friends and family around the table. This place is casual to smart casual dress code, and good for families and couples. It’s spacious and has an outdoor area also with heat lamps if...
