My wife and I visited this cafe for a nice sunday morning breakfast. The cafe was busy and as such we expected to wait for a table. After 20 mins standing by the door i realised that people who just arrived were standing by table waiting for people to leave and therefor any chance of getting a table without confrontation or presuring others enjoying their meals, would be impossible. I noticed a number of other respectful couples in the same boat who were there longer than us.

I asked who appeared to be the owner or manager if my wife and I could get a table when one became available. We were happy to be placed on a list and wait, but we're told there was no waiting list. You just have to get what you can or take it away. Not what you want to hear when visiting for a sit down breakfast at a cafe. Effectively I took this as the owner telling me to fight for my breakfast. So we left and went down the road to Maple 3 Cafe where we were directed to a table and served promptly.

This was poor management and organisation on this businesses part and the reaction I got despite explaining I was willing to wait as long as I knew there would be a table at some stage,...

Set in the heart of a bustling tourist hub, this café draws you in with its beautifully designed interior – a thoughtful blend of charm and comfort that feels like a little escape from the crowds. It’s the kind of place you want to love at first sight, and while the setting impresses, the overall experience still feels like it’s finding its stride.

The menu leans into quality ingredients, and you can taste the difference – fresh produce, well-sourced elements, and dishes that feel a notch above your average café fare. That said, the prices reflect both the premium location and the focus on quality, and there’s also a weekend surcharge to factor in, which is typical for touristy spots.

Service can be a bit hit-or-miss depending on how busy it is, but the potential is definitely there. Facilities include access to shared toilets, which is convenient given the location, but not quite the full café-comfort experience.

With its stunning interior and promising food, this is a café that could really become a standout with a little more polish. Worth a visit if you’re nearby – especially if you’re after something a bit more refined amid the buzz of the...

Relaxed cafe with indoor, outdoor and upstairs seating in several configurations which show how popular it is. My dish of mushrooms, spinach and poached eggs was very good but not wow. My two friends' scrambled eggs and bacon were trademanlike but maybe they could ask if you like crispy or softer bacon according to one friend. Service was efficient and dishes came quickly. My dirty chai was rather good and they do a decent lemongrass and ginger tea. Overall a good effort but maybe it needs to be unplugged like Sarahs so that it's fully powered up. What makes me laugh about Maleny is the people wandering up and down the street looking for something they have lost in the shop windows. Maybe it's their lost car keys, the perfect fudge or the secret of life.

It was a wet morning skipping through Malaney looking for brunch and Monica's hit the spot. Snuggled into the lounge suite upstairs cold and grateful the coffee arrived almost instantly, and it was perfect. Lunch was a touch of city chic vs country sized servings, unbelievable in taste and almost unfinishable. Almost.... I had the potato and fetta fritters with smoked salmon, herbed sour cream, blistered tomatoes and rocket. Sensational. Hubby ordered standard egg and bacon roll with a side of chips, however, there was nothing standatd about his serve. It's unfortunate for the other cafes around there now, how can you not go back when you know it's good? It's a busy little place for a reason.
