Below you can still read my review from when this place was thriving on noble causes and hence worth supporting. Unfortunately they've given up. And it's sad. I don't know if that was a matter of survival or just convenience, but if taking a step backwards isn't collectively seen and acknowledged as such (backwards!), then we're all scr*wd. Thousands of animals lives will be unnecessarily taken as a consequence of such an insensitive choice. Sorry, but there's no justification for this. It doesn't happen often to be spoiled for choice when your vegan and gf. Not only these guys can pride themselves with one of the widest and most delicious offer both on menu and from the cabinet (vegetarian options are available too, btw), but they'll literally go the extra mile to be 100% sure your dietary requirements are met. The kicked back -but never frivolous- atmosphere does the rest of the trick. It's simply conscious, loving and truly caring humans with an admirable attitude towards healthy lifestyle and quality relationships pouring heaps of passion in sharing their vision with whomever is smart enough to walk in their little magic, green oasis. I could never recommend this place...
Read moreVery disappointing. This used to be a fave but has gone on a big slide lately.
Barely warm chai despite asking for extra hot and the pot to be heated.
10 mins after ordering spicy fritters, I was informed at my table that none were available today.
I ordered one poached egg, avo and tomato’s on GF and specified that I was Coeliac.
15 mins later my meal arrived and I questioned the GF bread. It was promptly whisked away with an apology.
Another staff came to apologize and said a replacement meal was being prepared.
A refund in coins was provided, twice; when the manager I suspect oversaw the refund behind the scenes and recognized the maths wasn’t correct. Lol
15 mins later two overcooked poached eggs ( only ordered one) and the most horrible GF toast I’ve had in a very long time.
C’mon guys. There are soooo many good GF sourdough breads available these days. To have that bread plated at a cafe which touts itself in GF, Vegan options; is eye-roll worthy.
Some staff were lovely, but I think a huge dose of Monday-itis was evident, as so many of the staff just seemed to be absent and it felt like they were wishing they were somewhere else.
It was a shamozzle.
Very disappointing and I...
Read moreThe food is delicious and the cafe vibe is gorgeous. But several things made me not enjoy my visit. I purchased the eggs on toast and they came deconstructed. The bread, butter, eggs and feta were all separate. It’s not the type of meal to mix ratios of ingredients - I would have preferred it all put together please the coffee was weak. I had to buy a second coffee to feel caffeinated. Tasted delicious though. the weekend surcharge of what I think was 5%. So unusual to come across a weekend surcharge particularly on a Saturday. The prices are already steep, hence why I went for the cheapest option of just eggs. the outside area had a strange smell. I predict it’s the open pipe that connects to what is maybe a grey water waste line
Really nice cafe and lovely staff but just several minor things that made...
