I dined in today with my mother and was very disappointed by the service and the meal I received. I asked the waitress who served me if she would be able to do me a simple plate of sides with some grilled chicken, pumpkin & avocado the waitress checked with the chef who said yes. My meal came out and it was so small the portion of chicken was so tiny I asked if I could please have a second serving the same size. What I did eat was nice just very small. When it came to paying the bill it cost me $30 for this meal I was shocked. I asked for clarification when the chef came past and told me I was charged for 1 full meal plus a side of chicken. I couldn't understand why it would cost so much. The chef was so rude to me and walked of whilst shouting out to me "I should have ordered from the menu and it wouldn't have happened". If this was such a hard ask for this chef she didn't have to say yes I would have taken my business elsewhere. I could have made a week's worth of this meal for the price I paid today. Poor service, overpriced meals and i wont be going back or reccomend this cafe to anyone else. Theres obviously a reason why even on a Sunny Sunday, Sunnys has so many...

We love coming to Sunny’s and have been for many years. I’m sad to give this review because we’ve never had a problem but today we were so looking forward to our special lunch. Halfway through we found a hair… accident I’m sure… but I saw my mum pull it out from within the food halfway down the bowl. We told the waitress who just said “ well that’s Not pleasant “ then walked away with it. My beef with this situation is that noone especially the owner/ manager came out and apologised for the incident. This is based on principle as a loyal customer, the owner/manager should’ve came to fix the problem or apologise. In the end the waitress came over and asked what we’d like to do to remedy this. We asked for fresh new food… and we got it as far as we knew!!! It wasn’t the hair that was the issue, and we didn’t gain anything from this as we still paid for the food. The issue was that noone admitted it could’ve been their fault when making it. An apology from the owner/manager would’ve been acceptable… Very disappointing. This really has put us off from every coming again but I’m sure that’s not going to affect the business....

The staff were quite rude to me and my partner wouldn’t say a word and just practically throw our food, plates, etc. on the table and walk away. My food wasn’t too bad but the potatoes where boiled and had little flavour and the salad had way to much cheese and bacon (that’s all you could taste and the bacon was quite salty) the fish was nice though but I did end up getting a bit sick later on that night. My partner got a steak and asked for it to be medium raw but it was extremely over cooked and really dry and had no flavour what so ever. We had garlic bread for a starter and it wasn’t too bad but half of it wasn’t even cooked and the other half was over cooked. The staff didn’t even come over once to see how we were going and got annoyed with us when we asked for a new clean plate because they gave us a greasy plate. It’s too expensive for what you get it’s not worth it and we won’t be going...
