Happily order again!
The meals that I have eaten are tasty, the balance of flavours are nice enough. It’s not the best Indian takeaway I’ve had, but not the worst, I would definitely be happy to eat there again. The portion sizes are not bad for the price. They are always busy which is a good sign! I personally do not like the limited options they offer with there rice dishes, just basic plain rice! I would prefer the rice be separate from the main dishes as I do not always want rice with my main dish. Also I feel they could offer alternative rice dishes, for example coconut rice, mushroom rice etc. I did approach them about these questions and the response I got was we don’t have time to cook more than one rice dish!! I’ve been to many Indian restaurants that have over 5 rice dish options, so they seem to have the time!! I have yet to eat at an Indian restaurant on the Sunshine Coast that knows how to cook a good poppadom! For me personally I love a good poppadom with some tasty chutneys, this is something that could be improved...
Read moreSo after waiting 1hr 15min for our order, we noticed other patrons, who'd arrived after us, receiving their meals. As the waiter walked back past us he noticed us looking, and the "penny dropped". He immediately informed us that our meals were next, and hurried off. Two minutes later he was back to inform us that that they were out of stock to complete our meal, and would we like to change our order. We reluctantly agreed, but I question the validity of that excuse.....lol
To top it off.....when he brought our plates out, one was slighted marked. Instead of replacing the plate, he wiped it with his hand, and after failing to remove the mark, he scraped at it with his fingernail. I was half inclined to suggest he should lick his finger first.....I'm sure it would have come off easier.
All said though....when the food finally arrived, it was very nice. Would I come back ? Maybe for takeaway, they seemed to turn those orders over...
Read moreThis was a really below average Indian experience. The Palak Paneer was a Capsicum Paneer, as this was the very dominant flavour. It was way to sweet and buried in capsicum. Really not pleasant. The Vegetable Kofta was also quite sweet and lacking spice and richness. The only standout was the Mushroom Mater, which was deliciously mushroomy and creamy. Out curries were ordered medium but lacked any intensity, and were definitely only quite mild. Combine this with some very lacklustre plain spinach and cheese naans, well there wasn't really any cheese, and we left quite disappointed. Told the manager about the Palak and he just said, well you should have let us know and we'd make another. Definitely...
