When we walked in the bar wasnât too busy. The bar lady serving drinks today was short and sharp, wasnât very nice. There was no need for that. Disappointed. The lady taking food orders was good to me and I appreciate her for that, thank you, and for the beautiful food, that was top notch. What wasnât, was the gentleman that came and took my plate before asking if I was finished, he took my sister-laws also. Ok, I could have not worried about that, BUT when he came again and not only picked up my brother in lawâs plate before asking, but had his thumb firmly inserted in the potato and gravy⌠not sure if he was trying to get rid of us or just incredibly rude, but either way, that wasnât something we could or should eat again. Thumb imprinted potatoes wasnât on my menu that day. So disappointed. The one star is only because of the lady who took my order and understood my autism had caused me to get upset when she was interacting with me....
Read moreThis was one of the most poorly organised RSL clubs I have been to for meals. We were early and ordered before the 1 minute silence and wondered where our meals were 1 and a half hours later. There was only 1 person taking and delivering orders to a âfull houseâ of people who were also waiting a long time. Then we noticed people who ordered after us were getting meals before us. We enquired about our meal and her excuse was that their had been a computer problem but she thought we had got our garlic bread! Management have failed as far as weâre concerned as management did nit organise enough staff to cope with school holidays and they apparently have a dodgy computer system. We were so looking forward to a nice meal out but will never go back there and advise others not to either. Management need to...
Read moreVisited here after attending Swan Hill race carnival. Was nice to come into warm environment and watch Geelong footy on tv and listen to the gentleman singing lots of golden oldies. After that was disappointed to see people turned away on what was obviously a busy weekend in town / a sign posted before 6pm saying bistro booked out when clearly there were tables everywhere. We asked at 4.30 pm to book for 7pm so happy for our table to be used prior. RSL advertises dining til 8 and yet people turned away at 7.30 pm. We ordered two meals at 7pm and waited til 8 for them. Lamb shank and cutlets both good but veggies cold and tough, no gravy with cutlets. Wonât be rushing back! Appalled that venue was not capitalising on lots of visitors to town on a...
