Edit: after calling you multiple times just to confirm that rice is actually gluten free- YOU FORGOT TO DELIVER THE RICE WE ORDERED?! Lucky I have a microwave packet but seriously.. the thing needed to eat the rest of it? On top of waiting an hour. Should have just picked it up, like always. Also can you please put the satay IN the satay chicken meal? It wastes plastic using another container, hy would i want it on the side.... Great food and drinks, service could be better. Mainly writing this so others are aware. Your staff think that plain rice contains gluten, and you're telling customers that it is not gluten free, but it is. Rice does not contain gluten, meaning it IS gluten FREE, unless it is seasoned- which its not then it is gluten free. Please correct that and inform your staff of this? It is extremely frusting that whenever I buy thai food the staff don't understand what gluten is. Please get training on allergens as you're information is incorrect. If the wait staff don't know if something contains gluten, ask the chef, as a chef they should know. ANYONE working in a restaurant should know what allergens are, and what on the menu accommodates to specific dietary requirements. Gluten = 麩質, Fū zhí, or ˈɡlo͞otn. It is in wheat, barely, and rye (a grain) None of those things are in rice (which is a different grain).
I understand there is a language barrier, and I love your food, im just trying to make your staff, and customers aware that the steamed jasmine rice IS...
Read moreI struggle to find the right words to fully express the incredible experience I had at this enchanting restaurant. Every dish we ordered was a delightful revelation, showcasing the most authentic Thai cuisine I have ever tasted in Sydney.
I wish I could rate it higher than five stars-haha. The highlight of the meal was definitely the duck curry, which was rich and aromatic, perfectly complemented by the subtle flavors of herbs and spices. The pad thai was another standout, cooked to perfection with just the right balance of sweetness and tanginess.
I also thoroughly enjoyed the mango sticky rice, which was a beautifully indulgent dessert, along with the prawn donuts that were crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor inside. The soup was comforting, warm, and reminiscent of traditional flavors, while the authentic coconut ice cream was a refreshing way to round off our meal—creamy, rich, and utterly delicious.
The service was just as wonderful as the food. The lady who took our orders and handled the billing was exceptionally friendly and down-to-earth, making us feel valued as customers. It's clear that she genuinely appreciates the patrons who come through the door.
I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to experience genuine Thai cuisine. The prices are very reasonable, considering the quality of the food and the atmosphere is lovely—ideal for a relaxed meal. I can't wait to return and explore more of the menu during my visits...
Read moreMy partner and I went in at around 8ish. I ordered the beef Laksa and my partner ordered a beef salad. Food arrived reasonably fast. However, as we were waiting a strong pungent smell came out from the kitchen twice , which made me choke and cough.. the patrons sitting next to us (a group of 4 people), were chatting after dinner. They said for them it was the 5th time they had to put up with that smell and the coughing and watering of the eye wasn't worth it. So they just packed up and left.
Something wasn't right my partners beef salad as after having two mouthful she started having abdomen discomfort and 10 minutes into it , she was having reflux. I assumed maybe it's from the chilli jam ? Being a chilli lover, I thought I would eat it. About 15 minutes later , I started having abdomen discomfort too with mild nausea.
I'm not thai cuisine expert but I'm fairly certain laksa soups are not meant to be sweet and certainly not yellow in appearance. My laksa soup felt like mussaman beef sauce and very very rich..
In comparison to other thai restaurants where there's a nice ambient atmosphere with interior decoration, music and etc , absolute thai felt like a warehouse with a canteen set up at best.
I would rather stick to monkey king thai in penant hills. Food is way better , so is...
