*** AVOID THIS VENUE *** This place was appalling. We had a booking for 10 x people at the Rooftop Bar on Saturday, Feb 10 from 7pm. 2 x guests were being hassled by the security upon entry coz they've had too much to drink. Our night had not even begun yet. I'm glad they were finally let in. We then spent so much money on food and drinks for our booking, only to be kicked out by 10:45pm as the bar and rooftop was closing??? It was Saturday night, in the city, during a major event of Lunar New Year??? We then head down to the tab area on ground level, and we were not allowed any more drinks, as the bar staff said "we have had too much"???. We were then asked to leave the venue coz we were finishing our drinks we brought down, from the rooftop??? This venue says closing at 5am or 6am????? Rooftop venue was not accessible after they kicked us out to close the bar. We were there for less than 4 hours , eating and drinking and chatting and their service and stereotype to people was disgusting!!!! The venue opening and closing time was all false advertising!! We are responsible mid 40s adults who had a get together for our High School teacher's (in his late 60s) bday. This venue was recommended to us because of accessibility to Central Station. Worst choice ever!! Worst night ever!! Very very disappointing. Ruined a wonderful event!!

This place was a god send. It was hot and humid when we were here , my mates wanted air conditioning. As soon as the door to the premises opened a cool sensation wrapped over us all , when we got upstairs everyone was surprised at how nice the restaurant was clean and tidy. Room to move , great atmosphere, bench seats. Tables and inbuilt eating lounges , America cafe style. Great independent music.the food is very well priced ,with $15.00 , specials everyday.nice interior design layout. Clean bathroom. Lift access. Has had a multi million dollar update. Out door terrace and smoking . Everyone was more than impressed with this amazing hidden secret. Right across from central station. Highly recommended. I had barramundi, $25.00 ( Was not on the specials menu) my mates had buggers . Came with salid and french fries. My mates recommend this restaurant. My order, Perfect frys ,nice with Japanese style cut vegetables, Can get very busy.

Such a convenient location. A couple of minutes walk from Central Station and you can be sitting at this rooftop bar. Such a comfortable, clean and welcoming environment. Flat screen TV available for some sport and a good array of tap beer, wine and cocktails. You can also order food up here from the bistro downstairs. The staff were very helpful and friendly and although the weather was not fantastic, I could imagine sitting up here on a summers evening. Special mention again to just how clean the place was, including the bathrooms.

We were celebrating my son's 33rd birthday today when he told us about an incident that occurred the day before - Saturday 7 December.... My son and his lovely girlfriend were on their way to Centennial Park to enjoy a music festival when they decided to pop into the Aurora Hotel for a drink before making their way to the festival. His girlfriend immediately went to use the bathroom and my son went to the bar to order 2 drinks. Yes, my son was dressed in shorts and summer singlet as it was a very warm day...he also is a very muscled and tattooed young man..BUT!!! one thing about my son is he's totally harmless and polite..The lady at the bar took one look at him and decided that he was trouble and refused to serve him..she also did not believe that he was purchasing these drinks for himself and his girlfriend. My son asked her if he had somehow done something wrong, and she told him he looked aggressive ...REALLY ???? so she saw a well built man with tattoos and decided he was going to cause trouble....how dare you lady ???? when my son rightfully told her what she could do with those drinks she said that she was correct in not serving him..he then asked to see the manager who obviously took the bar person's side. Let me tell you..do NOT judge people by the way they look.. we are a good decent family who raised both our children to be respectful and this horrible woman decided that he was nothing but trouble.. let it also be known that he asked to be tested for alcohol to prove that he did not even have any drinks at all prior to entering the bar..the manager refused to listen to him. ||The Aurora Hotel will always be known as a truly pathetic establishment. I am also considering calling A Current Affairs to lodge a...
