Dear Sheridan, I feel awful writing my favourite brand a 'One Star' review, but I must in the best interests of your brand. My wife and I visited the Sheridan Outlet at 2 Foveaux St, Surry Hills between 12.56 and 1.07 pm today.
We dropped off some linen for recycling which a delightful member of staff helped us with. Then since we were in the store, we browsed a bit and decided we'd purchase a Cooling Gel pillow. After waiting to get the attention of another member of the staff (her conversation about the Royal Easter show and interest in the horses necessitated a wait) we enquired whether there was stock of the 'High profile' pillow as we could find only 'Low' and 'Medium' profiles on display.
Apart from the obvious casual 'interest' in serving us, all we got from the staff member (not the one who assisted with recycling) was "No, there isn’t!" We were interested to know if the pillow wasn't made in the High Profile or whether there wasn’t stock of it in store - I showed the lady the graphic on the packaging that implied that there is a High-Profile pillow. All we got again was an abrupt "No, there isn't"!!!
Fortunately for us we worked out very quickly that the staff member wasn't one bit interested in serving us and we are the types who simply leave if that is the attitude in any store. And that is what we did!!

Read moreNot usually one to write reviews, but some interactions are so bad they deserve a permanent record. Came here at 9:30am (30 August 2025). Middle-aged blonde woman, seemingly the only staff member on the floor, managed to turn a 5 minute interaction into one of the most unpleasant retail experiences I’ve had.
From the moment I walked in, her demeanour was off. It was condescending in a way that made me feel like I’d walked into the wrong store, or more to the point, that I wasn’t really welcome there but she was obliged to attend to me. I walked about tablecloths, which Sheridan apparently no longer stocks in-store, and instead of simply checking the website she spoke down to me the entire time.
At one point she insisted there were only two options available online when in fact there were four. She just didn’t know how to scroll horizontally. I had to show her how to use navigate the website.
I was open to looking at a few other things, but by then the tone of the interaction had ruined it. From the second I walked in she’d clearly decided I wasn’t worth her time, and the way she spoke to me felt racially charged. Avoid here on...
