Went with high expectations but left thoroughly disappointed. The experience was marred by subpar food quality, extended wait times, and poor customer service.
Upon arrival, I ordered the Nellore Karam Dosa, anticipating a flavorful dish. Unfortunately, the dosa was overly oily and excessively crispy, lacking the balance that characterizes a well-made dosa. To my dismay, sambar—a staple accompaniment—was unavailable. When I inquired, the staff attributed this to a bulk order, which struck me as an inadequate and unprofessional explanation. They offered three types of chutney as a substitute, but these were served cold, further diminishing the dining experience.
Next, I tried the Paneer Dosa, hoping for an improvement. Regrettably, it suffered from the same issues: no sambar and a filling that tasted more like generic cheese than authentic paneer. This misrepresentation was both misleading and disappointing.
The Vada, comprising three pieces, was particularly disheartening. The texture was so hard that splitting one into two halves proved challenging, rendering them nearly inedible. This level of quality is unacceptable in South Indian cuisine.
The sole redeeming item was the Ragada Pani Puri. While not exceptional, it was a unique offering that provided a slight respite from the otherwise lackluster meal. However, this alone is insufficient to warrant a return visit.
Then excessive wait time. I endured an hour-long wait for my order, only to observe that orders were being distributed haphazardly, without regard to the sequence in which they were placed. Some patrons who arrived later received their food earlier, while others, frustrated by the disorganization, opted for refunds. This chaotic system reflects a lack of operational efficiency and respect for customers’ time.
My experience here was overwhelmingly negative. The combination of poor food quality, unacceptable wait times, and substandard customer service leads me to rate this establishment with two stars. I cannot recommend Babai Tiffins and will not...
Read moreFood is not that great. They have to improve a lot and a lot. Mirchi bajji is full of soda and salty. Taste is just ok. Felt like we can cook better at home. Disappointed with taste. Telangana chicken curry is worst. Curry is watery with no taste. They said it would serve for 2, not at all. I would say three to four pieces dipped in water and packed. We were super tired ,thought of take away from here. These guys don't have any ethics, they think in business perspective but they don't think of a person's hunger. We had to cook at home despite being hungry and disappointed with their cuisines. Not worth it. I highly recommend people not to check in to this place and waste your hard earned bucks. Their cuisines and prices are useless. Vanta raakapote ranattu undali, anthe kaani edho eda peda chesama amminama unte edho Oka roju mootha padadam kaayam. Thokkolo taste ki paisalu bokka. Read moreWe had to wait quite a long time for our order, which was difficult with kids. The food overall was average, nothing particularly special. One of the items we ordered was paneer curry with parota – while the parota was nice, unfortunately the paneer curry was spoiled. On asking, staff mentioned it was cooked in the morning but forgotten to refrigerate. The staff didn't charge us for that dish.
Overall, we came in with high expectations but left feeling disappointed. While some of the dishes & the staff are nice, the whole thing needs a lot of improvement. Hope the management focuses on reducing wait times & improving the quality...
