Banana Blossom Mona Vale — Restaurant in Sydney

The shop was quiet. I ordered my meal as dine in. One other person was sitting inside. The kitchen was not too busy, no persons waiting for take away. My meal was brought to my table and I was told “chopsticks are by the till”, the server returned to the till and then proceeded to go on their mobile phone. I stood up and said to my friend “ahh yes, get the customer to stand up and walk over there because you are so busy texting”.

It’s not the biggest of issues but where has customer service gone? Especially when it was so quiet. If someone orders dine in, tell them to take chopsticks or cutlery when they order, don’t just throw the bowl at them and expect the customer to run around providing cutlery. Should I wash the bowl as well after I’m done?

The food was delicious...

Terrible. My Thai beef salad was 3/4 full of rice, and had absolutely no dressing on it. It was a dry, tasteless waste of money.

Then my experience got worse when I called and was diverted to Banana Blossom head office.

Who told me I needed to get back in my car and go get some dressing.

“Can I speak to the store?”, no - they’re too busy. “Can I have the franchisee owners email address so I can let them know?” No can’t do that either. “Can you send me another salad?” No we don’t do deliveries..

Offered to refund, took my email address and literally hung up on me.

Will I get a refund? Who knows - I haven’t received anything via email so far.

Seriously terrible salad and service . You guys need...

Banana Blossom has many branches but I’m familiar with the one in Mona Vale. The salads are divine, delicious, to-die-for and any other superlative in the English language. No matter what you choose your tastebuds will thank you. And your car will deviate completely on it’s own when next you are near Bungan Lane.
