Food is usually ok from here. Reason for my single star is their attitude towards a loyal customer with a genuine issue and the last two orders have not been great and up to the usual standard, ie soggy cold spring rolls and chewy soggy pork when both items are meant to be crispy. Tonight however we chose to skip the crispy pork for fear of previous quality and opted for the Penang Curry @ 13.90 + $5 for prawns, plus another $6 for choosing "extra prawns", $24.90 for a main dish is a bit steep take-away but hey we are getting extra. Unfortunately the curry arrived luke warm, oh well I can microwave it for a minute so I serve myself up and find it's liquid with little to no veg and am now playing find the prawns. In total I counted out 8 prawns and tablespoon of veg leaving curry soup only in the container. How can this be at $25 leaving me an my partner 4 prawns each for dinner, surely they must have made a mistake so I call them and ask how many prawns a normal serve gets? The man tells me 6...wow, thats miserable he then says for the extra $6 you get 3 to give 9 prawn in total...wow, talk about the prawn Scrooge ruining Xmas in July. I felt stupid when I said thats not much for the money and we only got 8, he then talks to the kitchen and he tells me they said they put 9 in and made me out to be a liar that calls up to complain over 1 prawn??? Disgusting to treat a customer that way and certainly the last time we order from this ever sliding in quality business. If there is one thing the inner west has it's being spoilt for choice when it comes to Thai food. For the money you charge my favourite quality chinese restaurant in Miranda does 18 huge king prawns for the same price. Oh, while where listening give the prawn spring rolls a miss, exact same story as above so need I see more than miserable portion count of 4 chewy and soggy little prawns wrapped in spring roll...
Read moreHad lunch here Chicken Basil with rice and I found a foreign object size of a small fly, black in color. When I brought it up to the managers attention, he took the plate, had a close look took visually then he took it out with a new spoon into a plate, squashed it and brought the same plate back stating that “it’s ok, it’s just a black rice”
The appetite was immediately withdrawn as his visual diagnose that brought the plate close to his face of around 10-15cm brought discuta immediately, the squashing process that happened in the table next to where I was sitting was more repulsive as he squashed that rice away and then bringing me that plate back- Immediate repugnance.
I cannot believe that in this day and age, food industry managers are bringing their food problem solving etiquettes and forget to follow the National standard is very not only dis-appointing but very anti-hygienic. This incident has only shown their professionalism towards supplying food but it makes you wonder if they follow all standards required by the NSW Health Department, as this Ana lysis of a foreign object that I can assure was not a black rice as he stated- but to do it in that primitive way is unacceptable.
Due to this, I will never return to this place and recommend to people pay close attention to their food as my experience was not only very primitive but un-acceptable by our (NSW...
