went to celebrate my birthday with my family and had an okay time, but definitely wouldn't visit again. the drinks menu was surprisingly limited with the menu on their website not matching the in person one (definitely should be updated - i was looking forward to a cocktail i saw online but they weren't able to make it), and the only offering of cider being a $55 bottle. the waitress was nice, however i'm not sure if she was new or just having an off day because we had multiple issues: she insisted with the steak that we get a side salad because to 'manage expectations' there would only be 'a few leaves' on the plate. the steak was brought out and it had the biggest side salad i've ever seen - why did we have to get buy the extra plate of salad? two of our party ordered a drink on tap and the waitress happily took their order, until the bartender had to come and offer something else as they had actually run out - shouldn't this be communicated to all staff? next everyone's main meals came out except for mine, only for them to come and tell me that they forgot mine and i'd have to wait another 10minutes for my food or just have one of the quicker starters instead. everyone enjoyed their food (and had finished theirs before mine arrived), however i don't think it was really worth the price. at the end of the night they offered 50% off just my meal (originally ~$45), but then really pressured us into tipping despite the poor experience (which ended up being more than what the discount we were given). overall it wasn't the worst time, however for the price i would expect a far...
Read moreAs four middle aged men, we stopped in at the downstairs bar at 8pm and were encouraged to take our drinks upstairs by the barman, who assured us the DJ and atmosphere was excellent. After being shown to the balcony, we enjoyed our drinks before being shushed by a diner behind us. We were respectfully and did not voice our opinions on her behavior. We were then approached by two waitstaff, who informed us that all of the balcony spots were now booked and we should leave. We asked to be relocated elsewhere but we were told this was not possible. We pointed out that we had been happily enjoying our drinks for 20 minutes before we were asked to leave. When we refused, the two waitstaff informed us they were going to call the police. I informed them that we were respectful and at no time had and bad language been used or had we engaged with any other diners. At this point the barman from the downstairs bar came upstairs and asked if we could move to the downstairs bar. We explained the situation to him and he apologized. We moved to the upstairs bar section of the restaurant and finished our drinks and left. We declined the offer of free drinks in the downstairs bar. We will not...
Read moreA real shame. We dined at this restaurant a couple of months after they opened, and everything was terrific. They've dropped the ball the second time around and are trying to cut corners and maximise revenue over diner experience and faith in their customers. We expressed concern over undercooked chicken and watched the wait staff laugh over our comment with the cook in plain sight. Then came the silent treatment; our table was ignored until we begged the wait staff so we could pay for our meal.
A message to the owner(s). Sometimes, you might think people are on the hunt for a discount; I get that 100%. We happily paid for the entire meal without any fuss; I guess we were looking for some acknowledgement of our concern, and it's a real shame we got nothing.
Hopefully, you will have more long term success than the other six restaurateurs that have come before you in this location over the...
