Bay Ten Espresso — Restaurant in Sydney

I had been to this café several times before and always enjoyed the great coffee, food and atmosphere, but today I was so impressed by the outstanding and exemplary customer service provided by one of the staff members, that I was compelled to write this review. My friend and I ordered one of their salmon baguettes, which, due to an unexpected problem in the kitchen, would take longer than expected to prepare. Marlene, our waitress was most apologetic and communicated the problem to us promptly and courteously, offering us alternatives, which demonstrated a level of commitment to her customers which was above and beyond (a rarity these days). I was most impressed. This wasn’t my first visit to Bay 10 and after today, it certainly won’t be my last. By the way, the food when it arrived was just as outstanding as the service. I've just returned from my first visit to Bay Ten Espresso. I won't be returning. What a bunch of pretentious, disrespectful wankers. All 5 of them in their "recycled shipping container that serves as the coffee and food prep station was one of the vessels used to smuggle 600kg of pseudoephedrine into Australia... " No-one bothered to greet us, or come and take our order. Oh, and when I visited the ladies room, there was a sign TELLING ME to fix the toilet 'if the seat pops off...as it's very dangerous for the next person' It even gave me detailed instructions on where to find the allen key and how to fix it. Yes, this is exactly what a CUSTOMER should be expected to do.

I hope the bike-fit guy clues on, as he seems to be running a lucritive business down the back but sadly may lose it due to the lazy and unwelcoming gits up the front serving...
