As an avid sushi lover, I was disappointed to find there were no good sushi options when I moved to the area last year. I decided to give Oshi-Billi a try, and was pleasantly surprised! The male employee greeted me and was very friendly, and gave me a complimentary miso soup with mussels inside which I enjoyed. I loved the sashimi, especially as with most sushi shops the serving they provide is extremely thin and small, however the sashimi portions were very generous at Oishi-Billi.
Yes, you will notice that it is more expensive than most sushi shops, (and this is coming from someone that settles for Sushi Hub). Personally, I was a little hesitant at first as I am money conscious, but you can honestly taste the difference here, and of course, that will be reflected in the price. Read moreAs an avid Japanese cuisine fan, I cannot recommend Oishi-Billi more. I have tried their take away a few times and it never disappoints. Always supremely fresh with great variety and so impeccably presented. For the quality of the food it is amazing value.
I recently organised a custom omakase platter for a friend's lockdown birthday. Amy was super helpful in arranging this for me and went well and truly above and beyond. The final product was even better than I could have hoped for. A beautifully presented seafood smorgasbord and they even helped walk it to my apartment. It was such a delight and went off without a hitch. Thank you Amy and Chef Simon!
Easily one of the best Japanese restaurants in the Lower North Shore! Would recommend for take away and...
Read moreSmall restaurant with lovely customer service from the lady host. We came by for a quick dinner after a long day at Luna Park. Called in advance to make sure there was availability and the lady was upfront about a $2.50/head surcharge for the public holiday weekend. Place wasn't too busy but looks like they sell heaps via food couriers.
Food is good and service is quick and attentive. You can see the host is generous and accommodating just from the little gestures we observed during the short time we were there. For example, allowing another family to bring in pizza from another store as their kids preferred that, offering Ferrero Rochers as the complimentary lolly at the payment counter, and even rounding down our...
