Support local business they say - why would you when the food and service are so bad and not even the owner seemed to care. In fact he even yelled at me and said donât come back. Now what happened. Asked for menu, waiter served someone else first then remembered he hadnât given me the menus. No apology just pushed them at me. Waitress came to take order but not before throwing the cleaning cloth and bottle loudly onto the table next to us. Food arrived and my Chicken Limone was disgusting. It tasted like pure lemon juice so bitter it could not be eaten. Advised the waiter that the food was inedible who just stood there staring at me, until he finally asked if I wanted something else. The replacement meal was enjoyable so hence the two stars. My daughter went to the toilet and there was still food on her plate. The waiter just proceeded to clean up her plate without even asking if it was finished. It was warm and sunny at the time we were there and there was an umbrella providing us shade. The waiter came out and pulled down the umbrella putting us into direct sunlight. Again no conversation was had asking if that was ok
When I tried to approach the owner about this he became very irate and started yelling saying that âIâve been working all dayâ well guess what you donât know what other people have been doing with there day or what is going on in there lives. He said âthis is the 3rd time I have done thisâ. Done what? Complained about service and/or food. If as you say it is the 3rd time maybe it is time to start listening and try to improve. There are times I have been when I havenât complained and I should have. What happened to the customer is always right. Donât bother telling me not to come back I wouldnât waste my time. The cashier, whose name I wonât mention, had the kind of confidence and charm that can only come from someone who clearly believes theyâre doing you a favor by taking your order. Their ability to make us feel like an inconvenience was truly impressive. Itâs not every day you encounter someone who can make ordering a meal feel like a privilege you donât deserve.
Iâd like to think it was just an off day for them, but something tells me this level of professionalism is a regular occurrence. Kudos to the management for fostering such a unique and humbling dining experience.
