Betty's Burgers — Restaurant in Sydney

Firstly I'd like to start, I've had Betty's burgers at other locations and they've been okay at best. But this location... this location is god awful, from the food to the service and even the atmosphere, it was all just sad.

The food: The food I got was a Betty's double and a small French fries with garlic mayo, and I can confidently say that the garlic mayo was the best item I ordered. The burger was completely unseasoned and dry (even though the burger buns were drenched in oils). The burger had almost all its flavour deriving from its salad and its condiments, the salads providing a very diverse amount of flavours which did not compliment the burger at all, the bacon was was so brittle it almost ruined the experience of the burger as a whole. The fries were mediocre at very best. They advertise as seasoned with sea salt but they tasted so bland and unpleasant the only redeeming factor of the order was the garlic mayo which isn't even sourced in house.

Service: Honestly, I don't even know where to start with the service, from the wait time to the staff service, it's all just bad. I had ordered my meal at 7:45, and I can somewhat understand the wait time as there was a bit of a rush, but could someone tell me why I got my order at 8:10, and there multiple other customers who received their family meals before I received my meal. The staff there weren't rude or disrespectful don't get me wrong, but I fail to see why there was one employee who was trying to deliver the same thick shake from the time I ordered to even after I had received my food, like help the others in the back, if nobody is taking this shake after the third time running it, make yourself useful another way.

The atmosphere: I'm going to keep this plain and simple; why were there bin bags right behind the counter where you order? If the wait was so long, why were there so many servings of French fries and onion rings just sitting under the heat lamp? And lastly, if the meal I ordered took so long to prepare, why did it taste so bland and sad?

In conclusion, I am extremely disappointed by the quality of this location, all the reasons listed should justify the rating it was given, and I'm sure there are days where it may be better, but today was terrible. Congrats to the MacArthur team on a successful opening. Burgers & chips were delicious. I also couldn’t fault the staff & the service.

What was a let down was the Grilled Salmon Super Bowl. This is no fault of this particular restaurant — rather a poorly designed dish from Betty’s Burgers. I heard multiple ads for Betty’s Luxe Bowls across podcast ads. So I was quite keen to try this dish.

The lovely wait-staff brought this out to my table but I was in disbelief at how different it looked from the advertisement. The bowl was half filled with veggies. The salmon fillet was cooked but not grilled. Also, a VERY small portion sized fish. The vinegar almost pickled the veggies and had a cured smell. The bowl wasn’t cheap either. $16 for a measly serving size. Plus, we asked for no red onions but my dish came out with red onion. Note: I would’ve been happy to order something else if they weren’t able to remove the red onions. That wouldn’t have been an issue if we were told beforehand.

Absolute garbage quality meal especially the burgers. Fries are stale and cold as they just sit there at the pick-up window for 10 minutes before the staff are finished making the burger. 2nd time now with Burgers either missing toppings and a tiny patty or another burger overflowed with lettuce & huge chunk of tomato and cannot even taste anything else. Terrible quality and overpriced. Just look at these photos. Took one bite which was full of sauce only. Kitchen staff stand there yelling, laughing and joking with each other at the back taking over 25 minutes to receive my order and no time to eat this disaster on my work break. Online customer service is garbage and refuse to compensate the order. Now have to raise a dispute chargeback with my bank which wastes even more time. Do NOT waste your money here and go to Nando's, Nene Chicken or Grill'd Burgers if you want quality fast food a few steps away next door. You can't even order as a meal here either, everything needs to be bought individually with over inflated prices too!! What kind of dumb burger joint does that?! Overrated shambles...
