Borruso's Northbridge — Restaurant in Sydney

We celebrated our child's birthday party tonight at Borruso's Northbridge. With two kids and five adults including a few vegans, we knew it might not be easy to keep everyone happy. But we were absolutely amazed by the variety on their menu especially for the vegans. Beyond vegan, the wines were top, the pizzas were awesome and the kids absolutely loved their pastas too ! We were there for a good two hours - almost till the end of service and the two girls serving the floor - Cara and Sabrina were absolutely outstanding ! Even at that hour they were so full of energy, they even prepped the birthday cake as if it were their own party... my kid absolutely loved it and so did we ! But of course; the best was left for last... the team at Borruso's also gave us a really generous voucher (and I mean really really generous $$$) in return for visiting them for our birthday .. Cara, Sabrina - you folks absolutely made our day... five stars to you and the entire team. You didn't just feed us well, you have shown us what 'good looks like' and have left us with memories that we are going to value for a long time ! Pls don't forget us. We will be back soon ! Though times for the restaurant industry... but your brilliance makes us almost obligated to come back again and...

Absolutely terrible experience, and not the first time. Was then sent an email to rate the experience, sent through a very detailed response and have received no communication back (EDIT: Google response below received after posting this. Email referred to received day prior, and was a generic response) . I have left a reasonable amount of time for the business to respond privately, which they have not. The online ordering system not working properly, the terrible customer service, the wrong food being sent... terrible. I am in hospitality, so I know what good service is meant to look like. This was on the polar opposite end of the spectrum. With our industry being impacted so hard by the current Covid situation, and with so many teams out of work, one would expect those still operating to lift their game and show customers why they should continue to eat out. This is certainly not the mentality of this business. Very disappointing. If I could have given zero stars, I would have. The only pleasant aspect of ordering on the night was the friendly young gentleman who delivered it. This is the third strike of serious note throughout the years. I will not be ordering from...

Our family has been going to Borruso’s for years although very disappointed this evening regarding an incident we witnessed between the owner & a young staff member.

The behaviour was absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful. The way he addressed his hard working employee not only created an uncomfortable atmosphere for everyone present but also reflected poorly on the overall image of him as an owner.

As a customer, it was disheartening to see such treatment. I suggested to the young lady that “there’s the door” and she should take it, this was what he was yelling at her.

After the owner made a scene and abruptly left, I spoke to the young staff afterwards and suggested they do not work for such a disrespectful owner.

A positive and respectful work environment benefits not only your staff but also your customers and business.
