During a recent visit to Mad Mex, I had an unusual but memorable experience that highlighted the outstanding customer service provided by one of their team members, Neeraj. My visit began with a misunderstanding on my part—I mistakenly walked into Mad Mex under the impression that it was a car dealership. While this might seem odd, the mix-up provided a unique opportunity to witness Neeraj’s professionalism and kindness in action.
As I walked in, I looked around for cars and sales staff, only to be greeted by Neeraj at the counter. He noticed my confusion and approached with a warm smile, asking how he could assist me. Embarrassed, I explained that I thought the store sold cars. Rather than laughing at my mistake or brushing me off, Neeraj patiently listened and reassured me that such mix-ups could happen to anyone.
What truly stood out was how Neeraj turned an awkward situation into a pleasant experience. He guided me through the menu, explaining the variety of options available at Mad Mex. His enthusiasm for the food was contagious, and his recommendations helped me choose the perfect meal. Despite my initial confusion, he made me feel welcome and valued, treating me as though I was a regular customer.
The food was excellent, but it was Neeraj’s exceptional service that left the lasting impression. His ability to handle an unusual situation with tact and positivity reflects his dedication to providing top-notch customer service. He went beyond the basics of his role, ensuring that I left not just satisfied but genuinely impressed.
Neeraj exemplifies what it means to be a great team member: adaptable, empathetic, and always ready to turn a challenge into an opportunity. My visit to Mad Mex might have started with a misunderstanding, but thanks to Neeraj, it ended with a great meal and an even greater appreciation for outstanding...

Outlet : 4/5 Counter staff : - 3 ( that's a minus 3) Billing staff: 1/5 Food : 3/5 ( it was arranged like row after row) Drink : Corona 5/5 Counter staff : No hello, no thank you and no response when I thanked her. But she was super quick to let me know that they out of lettuce.( Send them to softskills school) beahved like they were doing social service at a soup kitchen. Name badges for staff would be nice so we can help the management weed out the arrogant ones. 5/11 reviews on the lowest rating points out poor customer service, check the reviewers names against nationality and you will identify that something is wrong. Well your staff are okay serving brown rice but not okay serving brown customers. 🤔🤔🤔 Overall experience bad, will give it another shot in about 2 weeks to see if the management takes the review serious. Read moreI used to be a weekly regular here, but after recent experiences, won't be going back.
The service is painfully slow & barely acknowledging. The pre-prepared food containers are half full & very sad looking.
They implemented a price rise last year, which is totally understandable, but what's not ok, or understandable, is that they also moved to smaller containers & smaller portions - whilst raising prices.
I used to get a naked burrito with all salads & it was a decent portion that didn't leave you feeling full, but gave you enough room to share a quesadilla & some dessert.
Now, the rice, beans, meat & cheese that's served barely fills 1/3 of the new smaller containers & then they fluff out the rest of the container with lettuce.
I'm happy to pay extra to support local business - especially when service is good & portions are fair - but not when they're barely acknowledging you & then...
