I ordered the special, the Beef Bowl, a small flat-white coffee, and a slice of carrot cake. The friendly staff efficiently took my order. There is plenty of seating inside the venue, as well as undercover seating outside.
The coffee arrived first, along with the carrot cake, which I saved for after the main. The coffee was nice and hot, well prepared with a smooth and creamy texture. One of the best cups of coffee I've had recently. The Beef Bowl, while looking rather plain, was actually quite delicious. The beef was hot and tender, and had been paired with a sauce or marinade to enhance its flavour. Read moreI went in to order at cafe florence with a large group of my family and 5 minutes later my elderly Aunty came to order a small hot chocolate. She was refused service because apparently they were closing. We were in a big group and the staff were continuing to make our drinks, we told them she was with us and that they could simply make a small extra drink for her. They then continued to serve other customers 20 minutes after my aunty had tried to order because apparently they were her ‘friends’ who we later found out didn’t even know her. I don’t know why they turned us away especially if they could’ve got potential business. This is appalling especially towards the senior citizens of Australia and not reaching the basic standards of customer service. Bad service, Bad food, Bad review. Never...

For Saturday morning breakfast I ordered the light breakfast, which was sadly light in quality. It consisted of a hashbrown, sauteed mushrooms, and admittedly it's hard to go wrong with either of these, but the grilled tomato while still warm was barely grilled at all. The scrambled eggs were satisfactory, but no better than if they were home made. The two slices of toasted turkish bread were okay too, but I must remember to ask for no butter. Some cafes serve butter on the side, but it's become apparent this...
