Ordered Pho and it was inedible. I could not pull the meat apart even if my knuckles were white from the strain of effort.
To remain honest and attempt some sort of impartiality in this review, I will give kudos to the staff who offered to give a discount and microwave the food further as compensation. However this did not resolve the fundamental issue with the dish.
Because of this, I requested for the dish to be refunded, as it's standard for restaurants to do so if the food is subpar.
The owner/manager was incredibly aggressive despite our table remaining courteous when explaining our issues to her. Not once did we yell at her like she yelled at us.
She was evidently very trigger happy in escalating the situation unnecessarily because when I requested a refund, the she decided it was a fantastic idea to RING UP THE POLICE lol.
Not only that, but she had the audacity to lie to the police and say we consumed over half the dish as a reason to justify her refusal. In actuality I would say less than 10% of the dish was consumed. It's a small detail that's nonetheless a reflection of her poor character.
They also took pictures of us without our permission while we conversing with the police on the phone over what was happening. We requested them to delete it afterwards.
To be so greedy for profits to go to such lengths like this is utterly ridiculous and I feel sorry for the servers who have to work under such an incredibly infantile owner. They were very polite in comparison. The son of the owner was also a lot more mature in handling and de-escalation.
The constable we conversed with recommended that the best way to make a complaint is to write a review and let the whims of society determine the consequences. So I'll say this then as a summary:
I would not recommend this place to anyone. Period. The lack of self control by the owner is embarrassing. How do you expect to maintain a restaurant if you can't maintain your own temper?
Seems like all the other one star reviews are beginning to make a lot more sense. They...

Food is fantastic, the best, I crave food from this restaurant! But great tasting food is all you will get at this place.
Service is always great but the staff need to be greeting customers and engage customers with some friendly/inviting small talk when we arrive, when serving the food to the table and when we leave (that kind of customer service is expected everywhere you go but they are not overly friendly in this place at all). Just expect that your orders get done easily, served timely and cleaned up when you are all finished together which is good. I hate it when one person finishes first and they start cleaning, make you feel like they care more about their efficiency and rushing you out the door than the customers experience (but that’s never happened to me here).
This restaurant has not adapted to modern needs of customers who want to go to a beautiful place to eat I.e., It’s not a place with fancy seating, it has those old cafe tables, the lights are very bright white and it’s a very outdated/plain looking place so loses stars for that. Also there’s no parking, you have to park in the library car park or the Westfield car park. They are not kid friendly e.g sharp utensils, buckets of chopsticks, many sauces and boiling hot tea jug on each table. If you have young kids, you know they want to just touch everything/open everything. Bring something to keep your kids occupied for while you wait...
