Our party of three had lunch. One ordered a pie. After two bites, she said the pie tasted and smelled “funny”, the other two of us smelled the pie and it did smell like the meat was “old or off”. When this was pointed out to the waitress, she brought the manager/proprietor over, who was very rude and argumentative, saying that the pie was delivered the day before and was fresh. At no time did she apologise for the food; offer alternative food; or offer to refund the cost. We were not telling her for an argument, but to alert her to potential food that maybe off in the refrigerated cabinet. They also handed out plastic straws which were banned in 2022 (unless for medical reasons). When we asked her if she was aware of this, she became very rude and argumentative, saying “the government had said she could keep giving them out”. My own food, a chicken schnitzel wrap, was advertised as having lettuce. It did not have lettuce anywhere in the sandwich, but it had beetroot leaves - a taste I find very distasteful. I removed the leaves but the flavour had gone through the rest of the wrap. I did not mention this false advertising of ingredients to the manager/proprietor, considering her rudeness about potential of food. The cook needs to wear gloves when preparing the food - visible from the cafe. We will never eat here again and will actively tell others about the experience. If I could give a zero rating, it would be too...
Read moreThe WORST cafe in the vicinity due to the customer service. I usually don’t comment unless it’s to such extremism, but the barista was atrocious. She had glasses on and I’ve never seen such a terrible barista with such an attitude. Not only did I see her yelling at a cook, she was also very rude to customers. We asked nicely if we could have cup sleeve because the coffee she made us were very hot. She persisted telling us it should be in the condiments section, and we told her it was empty. She gave a medium cup sleeve to my companion and I asked if I could have one as well, and she said “this is medium. small is right there” and she pointed at the condiments again. I told her it’s empty and that’s why I asked again. She gave me the cup sleeve in the most careless way and it ended up dropping on the floor. I didn’t bother asking for another because I just couldn’t stand her and service. AWFUL. If she was the manager, she could use a bit more of friendliness towards both customers and her workers. Blacktown has Cherry Bean as well, and it is nothing like this one. Avoid...
Read moreHere is my thoughts right. Food was great and the tea was lovely but i waiting 30 minutes for a tea. Which isn’t great, thought can clearly see they are very understaffed. There is one girl going round doing all the serving and clearing of tables when you should get having at least 2. There is one person on drinks which I think is why it took so long, too many take away and table orders all at once. This is clearly a lack of time management if they can’t find the staff you have to make do with what you have and I feels like they aren’t.
The place is also kinda messy. Next to where they put food for the waitress to take is all the dirty empty plates and cups. Once again they need to hire a dishwasher to keep up with this because clearly 2 people in the kitchen isn’t enough.
But staff is always friendly and they apologise for the wait times. I do enjoy coming here I just think the staffing is the massive issue. I hope in 2022 they can get more people on their team to help with heavier work loads on...
