El’s Café, our beloved local just a five-minute stroll away, has become more than just a spot for great food—it’s where memories are made. We booked a table for a special Mother's Day breakfast via an online platform, and from the moment we arrived, we felt the warmth that makes El’s so special.

The team had gone the extra mile to make all the mums feel appreciated. From the festive vibe to the small but incredibly meaningful gesture of handing every mum a single red rose at the payment counter—it was beautiful and brought genuine smiles to many faces, including mine. It felt like more than a meal; it was a celebration of mums, and that made it unforgettable.

As always, the service was prompt and friendly, and the food didn’t miss a beat. We had the seasonal pistachio hotcakes, which were delicious, though I still daydream about the special Valentine’s pancakes! One gentle request—please bring back that comforting winter porridge from last year. It was a personal favorite and would be perfect for the colder mornings ahead.

Have now completely edited the review. The way this Cafe obtains their 5 * reviews can only be described as a scam. One of the staff members were lovely and encouraged us to complete our 5* review right away and email proof to info@elscafebar so we could enjoy our 15% discount that day. We did as asked. Upon realising my phone was low on battery and the line to pay was lengthy I tried to show proof of the email and 5* review to a staff member to ensure the discount. This staff member handed over the eftpos machine to which we requested the bill, only to either discount had not been applied. The lady behind the counter took over and we explained the situation to which she confirmed the first staff member had given misleading information. We were told at this point 'it's not like someone is sitting by the computer waiting for your review to give you the discount' so you will have to use it at your next visit. We advised due to the misleading information, her refusal to honour the discount and quality of food there would not be another visit. Really disappointed and can conit has been close to 2 weeks since our visit and we still do NOT have the discount promised.

Be ware of how they get their 5* reviews and don't fall for it.
