Campsie RSL Club – Yum Cha 🥢 Campsie RSL Club – Yum Cha A great place for a weekend yum cha with family and friends! The dim sum selection is fresh, tasty, and comes out quickly. We tried the spring rolls, rice noodle rolls (cheong fun), har gow (prawn dumplings), and bean curd rolls – everything was well cooked and flavorful. ✨ Highlights: The spring rolls were super crispy with generous fillings. The rice noodle rolls were silky and smooth, with just the right amount of sauce. The har gow had plump prawns and a delicate wrapper. The bean curd rolls were comforting and full of flavor. 🍵 Tea was constantly refilled, and service was friendly and efficient even during busy hours. The atmosphere is lively – typical of a good yum cha spot. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re in Campsie and craving authentic yum cha. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Everyone seems to come for yum cha, but try their dinner. Very good Cantonese cuisine which was tasty and delicious. The coral trout done 2 ways, the Shantong chicken and cockles in XO sauce were just some of their very good dishes. You have to take a number and wait to be called for yum cha. The sizes per plate are for 3 to 4 people to share.

If I could give NO stars I would! The minute myself and my 3 children walked into this club the staff were rude. The lady at the service desk asked me and my minors for ID as soon as I gave my ID she asked ID for my 14 and 11 year old I told her they’re minors! 🚩 The security guard who worked Saturday 21/9/24 at 5pm to be exact looked me and my kids up and down like we were filth.That was ok I signed in and proceeded to head up to the restaurant where we had a birthday booking. Waited for the family for about 5 minutes the security guard come upstairs walked around and eye balled me and my kids the entire time. Super uncomfortable. We went into the restaurant to wait as there is no where for families to sit in this club. NO WHERE this place isn’t kid friendly. 15 mins in I receive a phone call to come out as the club refused entry to a couple of my family as they had no ID. Sweet as we go to leave my kids are waiting at the bottom for me as I hop off the escalator the security guard come right up to my face throwing his hands up at me these were his words “what’s your problem you go to the bathroom but you said you go to the restaurant, what are you doing to me and my club”. My reply “excuse me? I didn’t use the bathroom me and my kids sat in the restaurant waiting for my family you refused to let in and now we are leaving”. He proceeded to go on that I used the club bathrooms which we didn’t. Anyway even if I did use the bathrooms what is it to the security guard? You don’t understand how belittled I was in that moment surrounded around patrons watching this securoty guard yelling that i used the club bathrooms. I hope this doesn’t happen to any other families in my situation as this was the first and last time I’ll ever come to campsie RSL.

Campsie RSL train your front desk staff to be gentle speakers to customers and get decent security guards who actual kick out drunks and not parents with kids. Your security guard is toxic and I felt to be racist.

NO STARS for the security and reception lady. 5 STARS Sunho restaurant...

5 out of 5 for the following reasons;

Service; The service here is friendly and when I placed my order, it was super fast delivery - Which I appreciated very much.

Cleanliness; The toilets and amenities, dinning area and sports bar (which has a massive cinema screen television) and three 60 inch televisions, was clean. The staff were constantly wiping down tables and for a huge, space that could seat at least 200 or more people-it seemed to stay clean.

Food:I came here on a Thursday which turns out to be a good day to order. On this day you can order two meals and pay for one (you can takeaway the second meal if you are eating by yourself). I had the favourite which was salt and pepper pork chops with steamed rice and special fried rice (which had prawns, chicken, pork, vegetables and was quite a generous serving). This cost $20.00, very economical and priced for the Campsie market. Food was delicious! I was told to try the Asian steam trout, the broth is super tasty, and the meal comes with special fried rice and a bowl of steamed rice. There is a great menu for children as well as dessert. Check out their special burgers.

Value for money; Thursday's two for one deal is popular and well worth checking out, just before you have a flutter on the pokies downstairs. I made use of the sports bar and watched a coupe of NBA games, most days there are good deals and well-priced food to enjoy. Bar prices and drinks are around $6.00 for a small bottle of wine, or a beer at 4-5.00.

x-Factor; I love the fact that I can come here at any time and usually find ample and FREE parking to cater for the customers on any day and any time. The drinks and food prices are really good, and the food is tasty, so on that aspect, I give this RSL a big thumbs up. Well done, will be back if in the area. Please click like if my review helped you....

Recently, my self-exclusion from the Campsie RSL club was lifted because I had previously played roulette at the club. Initially, I was treated very well, and I still remember the names of the club's top management. However, there have been significant changes, and I'd like to share my recent experiences.

The first incident involved my request for a bottle of water after losing a substantial amount of money. Surprisingly, I was refused this simple request. Subsequently, a Caucasian manager named Shawn approached me and insisted that I apologize for saying, "if it was too difficult, don't worry about it."

Despite some initial losses, I recently managed to win back $120,000 within six days. However, every time I received a cheque, the club's shift manager would take a photo of my ID and the ticket(s).

A few days ago, the shift manager, Sisi, informed me that my favorite numbers, 28 and 29, couldn't be played by other players. If they placed bets on my numbers, it would be considered my bets, potentially breaking the rule of playing only two machines at a time.

On another occasion, a lady attempted to place a bet on the same numbers I was playing because I was winning. She asked me for assistance in placing her bet, which I did by pressing twice on $50 on her machine. Immediately after, an angry and ill-mannered Caucasian manager confronted me, accusing me of playing more than two machines. I explained the situation, but he didn't accept my explanation and threatened to ban me if it happened again.

Following some losses, I borrowed $1800 from a lady with the help of a male friend. Soon after, Sisi approached me and pointed her finger at me and my friends, instructing us to leave the gaming lounge. I still had $100 on each of my two machines, and I requested to finish playing the $200 before leaving. Sisi called a security guard to force me to leave. After collecting my money, I left the unfriendly club.

The next day, two of my friends entered the gaming lounge without any issues. Consequently, I visited the club's reception the following day to double-check if I was still allowed to enter. To my surprise, the Chinese shift manager informed me that I had been barred from the club.

It is shocking to me that, as a player, I was denied a simple drink, treated as if I were a prisoner, constantly monitored by uncooperative managers, and seemingly allowed to lose but not to win. It appears that the club is more welcoming to losers than winners.
