Read moreYes they take card. Came to understand that the name is an ode to the owners passion for Viet street food. Service here is quite nice. The ladies that helped us were very informative and sweet. They would answer any question we had in detail and would go out of their way to explain certain things about their menu.
The ambiance is quite great. It wasn’t too busy around lunch time so it’s the perfect CBD catch up lunch without too much bustle around. Especially if you are looking for a little flavor and something different.
The menu seems limited at first due to the lack of plant based dishes and excess of pork based dishes. They do offer to adjust much of the menu items to match dietary requirements. I wish they had a menu for that though would’ve been easier than having to ask about each plate. I don’t like being the fussy customer.
There was no online menu at the time for us to check beforehand.
We had the veg spring rolls as starters. 10/10 maybe one of the best. So flavorful.
Had the grilled stuffed eggplant (7/10) and ordered it plant based as well. It was good. The eggplant was well cooked. It didn’t boast the flavors it claimed. I hoped it would be more spiced but my friend quite enjoyed it.
Drinks menu was nice with plenty of options. There were a couple of tempting dessert options but we were quite full. Will come back...
Read moreDelicious food, friendly service - can’t wait to be back again! A little hidden gem and I’m so glad our friend recommended us to visit. The dishes were unique and executed really well!
We were all a huge fan of the Hue style barramundi (fresh, tender, tasty), grilled prawns (so good, but you have to get your hands dirty), mango apple salad (so good), house-made pickles (great kick but not too sour) and pandan mochi waffle (could be cooked a little less, it became a little hard to bite at the ends but still delicious). The grilled scallops were alright and the cracked rice was very intense (overly sweet sauce on the rice, very salty soft boiled egg - need to mix all components very well).
Drinks were good but only the ones on the paper menu are available, and not much description on the cocktails. I did enjoy my green tea highball, but it could be sweeter. My husband got a mocktail with the citrus, lightly sweet notes he requested.
The staff were friendly and proud of their dishes and drinks. It was a pleasure to chat with them! It could get a bit loud when the room is full, and it is a bit chilly as well when it is cool outside. Look forward to be...
