Another well run venue from Sydneys Merivale group as run by Justin Hemmes. These guys can do hospitality and well.

Went here for a 'business' pub lunch to chew the fat over a cupla coldies and a burgeasy.

Had the Wagyu beef burg. food came pretty quickly, we sat up in front of the kitchen on level 3 (bottom bar was packed at lunch trade) helpful guys and gals working the bar & running the floor great selection of beers on tap. Australian, premium local and imported and a cupla crafties placed order and given table number (yes! love it when they bring the food to you) well known executive Chef Jeremy Strode.

would have preferred to sit downstairs but alas busyness is business lotsa flights o stairs to get to level 3 level 3 quite empty, little atmosphere

Overall a professional offering with only minor...

It’s Sydney, it’s going to be pricey. But $18 for a pint of stone and woods is literally $5 more than anywhere in the vicinity. I then ordered the steak sandwich and when I say the steak was thinner than a piece of bacon, I mean the bacon you’ve left on the grill for 5 mins too long. The steak was black, wafer thin and supposedly Angus lol. What’s the point of calling a minute steak Angus beef when you burn it to a point of cremation. Chips were okay, mushroom gravy was tin gravy with 3 slices of mushroom. Thoroughly disappointing, staff were okay, took about 20 mins to bring water but she was alone and v busy so understandable. If your going to charge $30 for a steak sandwich, maybe have more than 2 ligaments...

My first time I got the Riverina Sirloin steak, it was cooked medium as I asked, everything was perfect but they don't have mushroom souce.

Still tasted good, but just not wow

My second time here, which was today Got the Riverina Beef Rib Cutlet,

I usually experience the worst on bigger sized steaks everywhere,

BUT this one was perfect, was fantastic, very simple, perfectly cooked medium, juicy and in a way that I don't understand very light "happy food"😂

Finally found my CBD very reasonably priced favourite steak ♥️

Hotel CBD is known for its bustling main bar with frequent outdoor spillovers. However, very few venture up the stairwell and ever upwards to the York 75 Sports Bar. Surprisingly, very quiet in stark contrast to ground floor on a Friday evening hence Jack and the team gladly booked us the entire TV area. Definitely also worth checking the Level 1 bar (if not booked exclusively) for those wanting a more "apartment-like" feel and chill at a conversational volume.
