Today was the best day of my life. I walked into Chargrill Charlie’s Forest Way Shopping Centre, Frenchs Forest, Warringah Council, Northern Beaches, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, Oceania, Earth, Milky Way, Galaxy, Universe with high hopes and a stride in my step, shaking in my boots, lips quivering (all 4). My watering mouth was yearning for the familiar taste of Charlie’s chicken. On Monday my Samsung Galaxy S3 beeped sending a stimulating shockwave and vibration throughout my hippocampus. Upon reading the notification I exhaled softly and passionately when I learnt that out of the goodness of his heart (and a mere $50) Charlie was generously offering a plushie (more merch to add to my evergrowing Charlie collection… one day maybe I’ll have Charlie Himself!). I washed my hands for 20 seconds (as per the COVID-19 safety standards that I still adhere to in this present day), picked up my phone and placed a large and frivolous order on the Chargrill Charlie’s app on my Samsung Galaxy S3 with my left conjoined index finger and right thumb. I arrived promptly into the FINE establishment and observed the generous, empathetic, determined, considerate, selfless, headstrong, tender employees hard at work in their fine establishment, mastering their craft - the experts in the trade! My number was called and I jumped up onto my feet and the employee gracefully handed me my meaty delight packaged delicately with Charlie’s tender loving care. The chips fit like a glove in my colossal mouth. The burger… where to start? Perhaps with the sauce - warm and thick, opaque, salty and creamy with a jelly-like texture that squirted into back of my throat, plucking my uvula and sending shivers down my scoliosis-ridden vertebrae. The fresh, organic vegetables enveloped in a steaming hot sesame-seed coated white bun. The succulent breast of the Charlie chicken exploded in my cleft palate and the tenderness felt rather pleasant against my porcelain fillings and cavity-ridden canines, if I do say so myself. At last I unsheathed my Charlie toy from His packaging that was holding Him captive. I showered Him with love and affection like He was one of my own blood. In conclusion, once again, I had the most magical, euphoric, ethereal and above all memorable experience in yet another fine Charlie establishment. Thank you Charlie - I will be counting on you to keep my small intestines warm and snug during the cold Winter season...

The food is okay as long as you understand that it's priced at a premium for what you get.

What is extremely irritating is their online app for ordering (or ordering via website). Regardless if you order online during a busy peak period of quiet time it's likely that no one will actually start preparing your order when you put it in. Instead 10-15mins after ordering you will arrive at the store you will see people walk up to the counter and order the exact same thing that you ordered 15mins ago online and they will walk out with their food before you.

If you do order online or through the app make sure to immediately go to the counter and ask for your food so that they can start preparing it (which defeats using the app anyways). Otherwise you will probably be waiting indefinitely.

This applies to simple orders like a whole chicken and large chips, etc.. basic stuff and all paid for in advance...
