Chatime Eastgardens Westfield — Restaurant in Sydney

Generally, the chatime at this location is not very good. However, when I went there on the 23rd December, I had a horrible experience and will not ever go back. Arrived at 710pm, google says chatime would close at 9pm however the girl working there, Josephine (that's what she told me her name was), said she would be closing up at 8 that day and asked us to order before 730. At 720, we made our orders and wanted to pay with cash but Josephine did not allow us to, saying she had already counted the money in the till, so we paid with card. We had ordered three customised thai milk teas, varying in sugar, ice and toppings. While she made a couple of mistakes along the way with regards to drink size etc, Josephine made the same tea and poured it into all three cups. We asked her to confirm the sugar level in the drinks when she handed it to us and she rolled her eyes and said "I made it according to the recipe". We asked her three times to confirm the sugar level after which she finally said "sure, it's about 50%". We then told her that one of the drinks was meant to be 30% sugar and she looked visibly annoyed and asked whether she should make the drink again. I asked her to remake the one with the wrong sugar level. Mind you at this point, we realised that she didn't mix the ice in properly and the teas were lukewarm as well. She remade the milk tea with less sugar and when we asked for straws, she slammed them on the table in front of us. Even the new drink she made was lukewarm and did not taste good. We were less than impressed by Josephine's behaviour that night and will not return to this chatime. When you're paying almost $10 per drink, you would expect that they are made as advertised and better customer service. This also isn't the first time I've come to this chatime and they have closed 1-1.5hrs early so they should update their opening hours on Google if this is...

This branch of Chatime is not good. I'm a frequent customer that purchases drinks throughout the day and in the evening for my colleagues, however the service presented here is distasteful. The manager is simply rude and does not understand customer service, hoaxing customers into purchasing more and not giving the amount, basically scamming customers out of their hard-earned money. The number of times my drinks tasted like clumps is too many to mention. Pearls are always undercooked and burning hot, one burned my colleague's mouth, thankfully she was fine. Besides serving disgusting tea that has sat for hours, this Chatime had expired milk and a dirty overall environment. I feel terrible for the employees who are under pressure all the time. I am not surprised at the amount of terrible reviews this franchise has received, however, I blame management for allowing this amount of pressure on their employees, causing them great distress. This Chatime is not up to the standards of other locations and should ultimately be inspected. You may as well drive to Kingsford to get your money's worth because this location is terrible… I absolutely do not recommend this location to anyone. 1 star...

I'm a long time customer and frequent many stores including Wolli creek, Kogarah, Liverpool and others but unfortunately my local store Eastgardens is by far the worst. One staff member on boxing day fielding many orders and bless him, he was moving as fast as possible with irate and impatient customers abusing him and still being polite. Management needs to simply ensure enough staff are there, a minimum of 2-3 and more on busier days. I actually go out of my way to drive further to another chat time to avoid the chaos and confusion of the Eastgardens store. All I want as a customer is to go to my local store, wait a decent amount of time and have my order right like I get at the other stores. You cannot save on wages and keep customers happy and satisfied, every time I'm there at least one customer is having a meltdown. Please make the relevant changes to ensure your locals can stay local and support your business in the way...
