Ordered two coffees and two seperate breakfast meals, after about 10 minutes we received the coffees, 30 minutes after ordering (and I'm almost positive a lady who ordered after us getting her food) I asked for a refund as we needed to leave for an appointment and hadn't expected it to take so long. The male manager came over and was possibly the rudest, most arrogant staff member I've ever seen working in hospitality, refused to believe that we had order 30 minutes ago as his docket didn't say that even though we showed him our EFTPOS receipt with the exact time on it, told us it was not long to wait in a busy restaurant at all and that if we were in a rush we should have said something when we ordered (we didn't realise they would forget about our food), and refused to give us a refund. When the food finally arrived 5 minutes later the toast for both meals were cold and the eggs benedict had barely any hollandaise sauce. I spoke to the waiter about getting a refund, who referred it on to the lady manager, I told her that the food did not look appealing at all and wasn't worth the money we paid or the wait, she told me apparently their docket printer had been not working so that was why our order was so delayed, which we were never made aware of, she begrudgingly gave us a refund. I ordered an avocado smash with poached egg, waited 40 minutes and I was never served. I went to cancel my order as I had to leave to pick up my children from school, the lady at the register said the food was ready and that I couldn't cancel the order. I explained again that I couldn't stay to eat, I had waited 40 minutes for a toast with avocado on top. The lady would not cancel my order, so I ended up saying she could keep the money and I was not coming back again. She then offered to give me 50% back and pack my order, how do I eat a poached egg in the car? not sure she answered. The chef came out and he was actually really apologetic, he even admitted that I should have been told that there was a delay at the time of ordering. The chef even offered a sweet for free, which was a nice gesture (I didn't accept the offer). I am totally disappointed with the service of the lady at the register, what a pity the reputation of a place can be affected by one...
Read moreI ordered Moroccan Lamb, as I know it to be a hot dish. Safer to eat hot food these days. But the dish consisted of raw cold spinach, a few pieces of feta cheese, a few slices of cold lamb. I had to return my cappuccino as it was lukewarm water and milk, no taste of coffee. Anyway, the worse part yet to come. I felt very sick 2 hours later with all symptoms of food poisoning without mentioning in details, all night awake. Next morning, I called the owner and told him about the situation, so to make him aware, but he was so defensive and gave all compliments about his food. He did not care about what I was telling him. By 10:15 am, I had to go to emergency at the hospital as I was severely in pain. I spent the whole day at the hospital. The result was “Food Poisoning”. No one deserves to go through this. We put our life in the hands of those restaurateurs and chefs. Owner had no empathy, but kept talking about the quality of his food. I do not recommend this place to anyone. It costs me so far 4 days of agony and pain, as I still cannot eat anything...
