I booked in advance for all you can eat ribs burger and wings.
When we arrived, the waiter greeted us and got us drinks fairly quickly, he was friendly and helpful even though it was clear that he was run off his feet.
When we ordered our first serving of ribs, my partner got 3 tiny bits of pork rind, the kind that you cut off and leave to the side of your plate.
When we asked to order a burger or beef ribs, the waiter told us that the only burger available on all you can eat is not on the menu and they only serve pork ribs for all you can eat.
We were extremely disappointed as this was not What we were expecting for $45 each.
The kitchen was closing in 20 mins and we explained that there is no advertisement or menu anywhere to see what is actually included in the all you can eat and we asked for a small serving of beef ribs as we would only have time for one plate anyway. The waiter was lovely and agreed that it was confusing and bad advertisement, so he said he would see what he could do. 5 mins later the manager Rana came over to tell my partner extremely rudely that if she wanted beef ribs we could pay the full price of $70. She was loud and rude and other people in the restaurant started to look over at us. We were both very upset and my partner started crying because of the way she had just been spoken to by the manager and we were extremely embarrassed. I explained the situation and misunderstanding to the manager and asked if she could just organize for one small serving of beef ribs as that’s what we were expecting and the kitchen was about to shut. She refused and just walked away.
I then asked for the bill, to which she walked off annoyed and started serving another large group of customers that were leaving.
We are extremely disappointed in our experience here and the service from the manager Rana is disgraceful to say the least.
As a result, we had to go somewhere else for my partner to eat dinner at 9pm…
We made a formal complaint to the management of panthers who advised us that we were not the first to have issues with the manager at CJs and herself couldn’t understand why she was so rude...
Read moreI took my mum out for her birthday over the weekend and we left wishing we stayed at home. A $200 evening is a huge stretch in today's economy but I really wanted to try to give her a special evening.
The service was beyond appalling for a start, waitresses slapping gum around their mouth while serving guests. It took until our main means were served and being asked twice to get our drinks (1 cocktail a fanta and bottle of water) which were delivered one by one and the water was hotter than the room itself. The man appearing to be manager seemed totally clueless of what was actually happing in the restraunt.
The music was so loud we could barely hear each other talk and the only thing louder was the over the top dinging of the pass bell right behind our heads. We had to ask for our starter plates to be removed despite the mains being put on the table around the dirty dishes.
The food. My sons burger bun was dry and stale, his pattie looked like it had been cooked 20 times before and not a drop of sauce on it to help it go down. My mothers $60 seafood pot thing had pre frozen prawns and dry crab meat. We had to ask for the utensils required to eat the seafood as they lacked to realisation that these should be WITH the meal as it is served. My mid rare steak came out so over cooked I could see the dry extra dead meat as it came off the pass. Was well done when I cut it. They did provide a re cook but my expensive prawn topper drowning in tasteless butter was left to go stone cold before getting the new steak.
As someone who not only has experience in all aspects of hospitality including chefing and f.o.h management it was extremely upsetting to have such a terrible experience from a restaurant that used to have such high standards when I worked within your partnered business and watched the crab shack first be opened . To see it go so far down hill since then is sad.

Read moreLocated on the first floor inside Penrith panthers league club, is cj s crab shack. Its Settled amongst a few other restaurants inside the club and is an absolute stand out when it comes to seafood in the West. A beautiful bright, clean and roomy space, decorated to perfection with all things relating to the sea. You really feel like you have stepped into a one of a kind space. There is indoor and outdoor seating, with table service. I would recommend you book yourself a table as it can get rather busy. The menu is mouth watering, ranging from seafood, burgers, steaks and ribs. We ordered the hot and cold seafood platter , which at $79 , was a really great and impressive meal for two. They are fully licensed, from beer, wine, spirits, sparkling wines, and cocktails, in fact, a table next to us ordered 2 cocktails, which they call fish bowls , and they were as big as my head. The service was fast and super friendly. The food was amazing, very fresh and tasty , and we will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. There are toilets located just outside the restaurant, and there is wheelchair accessible parking and entry. Next time I book a table I will ask to be seated next to the window so I can look out over the water they have in front of the restaurant. Just a small tip for you guys to make the experience even more enjoyable. It doesn't matter if you are not a member of the league club as you can enter as a visitor, just show your...
