Birthday dinner for a friend. I looked at the menu during the week. I was cash poor so had to opt for cheapest meals. $26 cheese burgers X 2 and entree of loaded fries for my son. Loaded fries were good but smallish portion $18. Burgers are two meat patties with bacon, cheese, pickles & mustard. I requested lettuce, tomato as well. Bacon & sauce on the side. Everyone's mains arrived but our burgers. This did not impress me. A good 10mins wait. Not happy!!! My burger arrived, ate the chips first as they were hot. Far too much salt, this was not pleasant. Opened burger for inspection. No pickles nor tomato, five small strips of lettuce. I advised waitress of missing items, she had them to me in little bowls. I did get 8 pickles & slices of tomato. Added them to the burger along with my sauce. Cut burger in half, ate half. It was quite nice. I took the leftovers home. Our waitress Corrin was great, very helpful & super nice. I would not go back , 1 entree & 2 X cheapest mains was $70 for two people. I also drank free water. I've added photos of other peoples meals. The $220 seafood platter for 2 is not worth it nor the $60 seafood pot was a rip off as well. Creole sauce was yucky & a bit spicy. I would be pissed off getting my scallops covered in cheese 😠😠😠😠 not a fan.

It was a shamozzle from the start. We had booked for a group of 5, not that hard- yet couldn’t seat us straight away without doing laps of the restaurant. We finally sat down and a waiter came to serve us. Poor kid- it was his first night and it showed. We asked how big the pina colada fish bowl was and he said it was served in a big wine glass.. we had the booking for 7pm, I was the last person to get my food at 8:30pm. We tracked down staff multiple times to ask where our food was. We understand it was a Saturday night and it was busy but when we ask the wait staff how long the wait will be, it’s no good to just disappear and not let us know. I was enjoying my schnitzel until I came across a bone in it. Initially we were only offered free soft drink. We spoke to the manager on a few occasions, and they finally agreed to take my meal off the bill and give a 5% discount. When the bill was printed I noticed they tried to charge us for a jug of soft drink we never ordered. So even with taking off my meal and 5% discount it was still over $200 for 5 people. I have blacklisted this restaurant- I will never go there again. Do not recommend

Our platter for 2 people $299 which the price did not bother us, it was the quality of it was so disappointing. Our prawns were burnt, the whole platter was dry and slightly overcooked... was no juicy sauce to go with it. My kids love their seafood but all had something unpleasant to say about this platter, unfortunately it was a sad platter to begin with and not what it use to be 4 yrs ago. So please do try something else. Also the rump was so tiny, we were just shocked at our small her rump steak. However the service was absolutely fantastic. Overall, it's overpriced for little satisfaction. Our dinner of 8 cost us $660 and was not worth it. We found another place in Bankstown called Seafood Marsters the next day and it did justice. It's reasonable priced and you get more on your plate, we had to take away the rest as it was just was too much for 8 people and cost us $400 for 5x different platters. Try it.

I booked in advance for all you can eat ribs burger and wings.

When we arrived, the waiter greeted us and got us drinks fairly quickly, he was friendly and helpful even though it was clear that he was run off his feet.

When we ordered our first serving of ribs, my partner got 3 tiny bits of pork rind, the kind that you cut off and leave to the side of your plate.

When we asked to order a burger or beef ribs, the waiter told us that the only burger available on all you can eat is not on the menu and they only serve pork ribs for all you can eat.

We were extremely disappointed as this was not What we were expecting for $45 each.

The kitchen was closing in 20 mins and we explained that there is no advertisement or menu anywhere to see what is actually included in the all you can eat and we asked for a small serving of beef ribs as we would only have time for one plate anyway. The waiter was lovely and agreed that it was confusing and bad advertisement, so he said he would see what he could do. 5 mins later the manager Rana came over to tell my partner extremely rudely that if she wanted beef ribs we could pay the full price of $70. She was loud and rude and other people in the restaurant started to look over at us. We were both very upset and my partner started crying because of the way she had just been spoken to by the manager and we were extremely embarrassed. I explained the situation and misunderstanding to the manager and asked if she could just organize for one small serving of beef ribs as that’s what we were expecting and the kitchen was about to shut. She refused and just walked away.

I then asked for the bill, to which she walked off annoyed and started serving another large group of customers that were leaving.

We are extremely disappointed in our experience here and the service from the manager Rana is disgraceful to say the least.

As a result, we had to go somewhere else for my partner to eat dinner at 9pm…

We made a formal complaint to the management of panthers who advised us that we were not the first to have issues with the manager at CJs and herself couldn’t understand why she was so rude...

I took my mum out for her birthday over the weekend and we left wishing we stayed at home. A $200 evening is a huge stretch in today's economy but I really wanted to try to give her a special evening.

The service was beyond appalling for a start, waitresses slapping gum around their mouth while serving guests. It took until our main means were served and being asked twice to get our drinks (1 cocktail a fanta and bottle of water) which were delivered one by one and the water was hotter than the room itself. The man appearing to be manager seemed totally clueless of what was actually happing in the restraunt.

The music was so loud we could barely hear each other talk and the only thing louder was the over the top dinging of the pass bell right behind our heads. We had to ask for our starter plates to be removed despite the mains being put on the table around the dirty dishes.

The food. My sons burger bun was dry and stale, his pattie looked like it had been cooked 20 times before and not a drop of sauce on it to help it go down. My mothers $60 seafood pot thing had pre frozen prawns and dry crab meat. We had to ask for the utensils required to eat the seafood as they lacked to realisation that these should be WITH the meal as it is served. My mid rare steak came out so over cooked I could see the dry extra dead meat as it came off the pass. Was well done when I cut it. They did provide a re cook but my expensive prawn topper drowning in tasteless butter was left to go stone cold before getting the new steak.

As someone who not only has experience in all aspects of hospitality including chefing and f.o.h management it was extremely upsetting to have such a terrible experience from a restaurant that used to have such high standards when I worked within your partnered business and watched the crab shack first be opened . To see it go so far down hill since then is sad.

We...

Located on the first floor inside Penrith panthers league club, is cj s crab shack. Its Settled amongst a few other restaurants inside the club and is an absolute stand out when it comes to seafood in the West. A beautiful bright, clean and roomy space, decorated to perfection with all things relating to the sea. You really feel like you have stepped into a one of a kind space. There is indoor and outdoor seating, with table service. I would recommend you book yourself a table as it can get rather busy. The menu is mouth watering, ranging from seafood, burgers, steaks and ribs. We ordered the hot and cold seafood platter , which at $79 , was a really great and impressive meal for two. They are fully licensed, from beer, wine, spirits, sparkling wines, and cocktails, in fact, a table next to us ordered 2 cocktails, which they call fish bowls , and they were as big as my head. The service was fast and super friendly. The food was amazing, very fresh and tasty , and we will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. There are toilets located just outside the restaurant, and there is wheelchair accessible parking and entry. Next time I book a table I will ask to be seated next to the window so I can look out over the water they have in front of the restaurant. Just a small tip for you guys to make the experience even more enjoyable. It doesn't matter if you are not a member of the league club as you can enter as a visitor, just show your...
