Absolutely the worst dining experience of my life!!!! More expensive than even my peers, but the worst service I've ever experienced. We ordered the spicy fried chicken claw and the troop pot, the chicken claw came up first and I have to say, it did taste great. But the entire contents of the troop pot, with the exception of the instant noodles, rice cakes and a few grains of beef that were almost pellet sized, were all rancid as if they were recycled for re-use. Not wanting to get anyone in trouble, we didn't tell the clerk right away when we had our first bite of rancid sausage. After trying all the ingredients - sausage slices, bacon, open-faced sausage, and lunch meat - we even took a sip of the soup in order to test if the sourness was coming from the soup base, which didn't have that rancid sourness at all. To avoid any misunderstanding, we decided to tell the clerk only after we were pretty sure that only a pitifully small number of three ingredients were good in this entire $51 troop pot - which instead became our mistake. Not only was the clerk (who appears to be the manager of the place) unapologetic, she even repeatedly emphasized why we didn't tell her in the first place if there was a problem, but instead, we ate so much of it. (The picture was taken as we were leaving, and we just sampled all the ingredients in the various troop pots without even really starting to dine. The rice followed the troop pan, as shown in the picture, and I didn't even touch the portion) We emphasized that we did this because you can't be completely sure if something is really rancid by just eating one thing, and we didn't want to bother anyone else with the hassle of finding out. But she then repeatedly emphasized that we should have told her when we took the first bite, not after we had eaten so much. But I was puzzled as to why this dish was obviously non-recyclable (although their attitude made me doubt that point) why they kept dismissing it on the basis that we had eaten too much and therefore it was not returnable - a reason that made absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. After we repeatedly explained but she kept refusing any apology with this reason, she even said "you shouldn't do such a (slanderous) thing just because you don't like the dish" Since this was the case, we offered to let her taste a bite of the ingredients in order to check if we were lying or if there was really something wrong with the ingredients but she still refused to do it, I know that it was indeed embarrassing, but if she had no way of proving that we were lying, why did she treat us with that kind of attitude? Throughout our argument, no matter how much we tried to explain, and seek a gentler solution, she kept repeating in a tone of utter contempt and impatience that we should have reflected on the first bite of the ingredients and that there was no way that their ingredients could be faulty, communicating the whole time without any apology, and in an unsubstantiated (we tried several times to get her to taste a bite of the food as it was the only method, but she was adamantly against it) to slander us at will. After an hour-long argument, we ended up paying full price for spoiled food that we hadn't even taken a few bites of. We packed up the spoiled food and will take this back to the...

Waitress served the mackerel had shown respect when putting food on the table. Nice and gentle where you compare most others that slam the dishes and cutlery on the tables when you eat somewhere else.
beef bone soup: highly recommend staffs to actually put beef bone and boil the bone marrow. Hint: try the Vietnamese beef noodle soup and taste the difference in the flavour. Although soup is quite nice, but it just needs more flavour.
fried chicken: abit pricey for its portions but nice at the same time. Correct heat within the chicken.
rice: Was good, but a little soggy. Probably abit too much water when boiling it.
pan fried mackerel: Absolutely loved it Crispy skin on outside, and tenderness of the fish meat inside that when you bite into it, it's almost like it's juicy.
overall: Service was good Food was average Atmosphere was clean and poses a comfortable...
Read moreGreat Korean joint in the area! We had the mackerel set ($54) which comes with a mackerel (obviously), a choice of soup, a stir-fried dish and 2 bowls of rice.
We chose the Seafood & Tofu soup and Stir-fried Squid. Banchan was served first (unfortunately only 3 options). Potatoes were great but the fish cakes had no texture at all. Kimchi was on the acidic/sour side.
Mackerel was lovely. Really really moist and juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Possibly the best mackerel I had at a Korean place. FYI, most bones are edible except for the thicker ones.
The soup was also great - very rich and flavourful stock. They’ve also added fresh prawns with its shell which definitely uplifted the flavours albeit only 1 piece.
Stir fried squid was decent and nothing really to shout about. Really spicy tho!
Great service. Would return.
