Went for the first time on Mothers day with my family as it was highly recommended by my workmate. Food was fantastic! Definitely great value, quality and very generous. The interior lighting, artwork and ambiance was quite pleasant and the restaurant didn't have a strong smell of Indian spices. Service on the other hand needs A LOT of work. ALL the staff DID NOT smile. They looked pre-occupied and unhappy to be there. One wait staff could not understand my booking arrangement and they kept calling the other wait staff to communicate with me. They kept serving food only from one end of the long table. We kept having to pass it along to the other side of the table. I don't understand why they couldn't go between the chairs to put it directly in the middle of the table. Our glass water vessel/carafe was cracked. I took it to the counter to have it replaced but the waitress took it off me and told me to go back to my table. We never received a replacement so I went back to the counter and asked for a new one. Kids order was totally forgotten. We had almost finished eating when I reminded the wait staff to bring the kids order. Their comprehension of Australian english accent definitely needs improvement. If you like great tasting indian food, in a nice restaurant I recommend it. But don't expect anything from the service. It might just disappoint you.

This Indian restaurant is probably the best one I've been to, so far, in terms of taste. I have started to think that too much salt in Indian food is normal, but turns out it's not after coming to this restaurant. We find the seasoning to be well-balanced. My only comment is on the service. They are under-manned. The food takes a bit too long to arrive. we had to follow-up on several of our dishes a couple of times, and waited almost 30 mins for the dessert. Sometimes everyone is in the kitchen, no one is watching the tables to address service needs. Customers are constantly streaming in to dine-in, and they are also very busy with pick-up. I think they can add more staff, as well as train the waitstaff more so they can be helpful in explaining menu items.

I have been going to their grocery store for quite a few years and I tend to pickup samosas, kachories and bread pakoras for starters. The quality of these snacks was really good before the restaurant was setup. But since the restaurant has been opened, quality has deteriorated. First it was just the bread pakoras, but now can't predict the quality of kachoris and samosas also. This morning I bought 2 samosas and 2 kachoris. Only one samosa was nice enough to eat, the other was unevenly fried and full of oil. But the kachoris were literally awful. Almost half the size of the usual, they were full of oil. The one in the photo shows how much oil is still there. I have already changed the paper below this kachori twice.

Please do not cover up - See my reply Went yesterday. They agreed on phone to let us pay by NSW Dining vouchers against Fork booking. They refused when we reached there and started proving that we are liars. When we showed the phone call to their numbers before making Fork Booking, Manager said someone irresponsible might have picked the phone would have answered (was it my mistake ?). Also, told us that it is common sense that both deals cannot be combined. But still dodged the question on why they agreed on phone. The Manager was very rude, uncourteous and blunt, continuing to prove us liars and that we were lacking "common sense". It was my Wife's birthday. On being humiliated by the Manager trying to prove us liars and lacking common sense, we walked out. No point dining at a place who do not keep their own words. The way she was talking to us rudely, I am wondering how this Manager was employed in the hospitality industry and how is this restaurant surviving. Although there were no patrons at that time, no wonder. Will not go there ever. 4th May - Checked your reply. It is interesting to note that earlier your manager tried to prove that we are lying and now you are saying that we asked for Groupon deal to be combined with Fork Deal. It is absolute lie. We never used the word Groupon. All along we said that we want to pay using NSW Dine vouchers and your manager blatantly refused that you cannot pay using NSW Dine vouchers if you are using Fork Deal. We showed her the printed NSW dine vouchers also. It is very disappointing to know that she has lied to you too. I think something is fundamentally wrong with that person or your are not replying it truthfully. Something is really wrong. Please check with the other staff who was also present at that time. Why would I write wrongly if I...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Colors of India, and I must say that the experience was made truly exceptional by our waiter, Manoj. From the moment we were seated, Manoj's warm and welcoming demeanor set the tone for the evening. He was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that our every need was met with a smile.

Manoj's knowledge of the menu was impressive, as he patiently guided us through the options, making excellent recommendations based on our preferences. He was quick to address any questions we had, demonstrating both professionalism and a genuine passion for his work.

What stood out most was Manoj's ability to anticipate our needs before we even expressed them. Whether it was refilling our drinks or providing additional condiments, his attention to detail was impeccable. He also checked in on us regularly, making sure we were enjoying our meal without ever feeling rushed.

In addition to his excellent service, Manoj’s friendly and personable nature made the dining experience even more enjoyable. He truly went above and beyond to ensure that our visit was memorable.

I highly recommend dining at Colors of India and requesting Manoj as your server. His exceptional service is a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to customer satisfaction. We will definitely be returning for another outstanding...
