$15 for 200g rump steak special for Monday. No greens nor fancy garnish, but was good enough for $15 in Darlinghurst. I think the area became too fancy and way too expensive, but I prefer humble meal, perhaps with some greens though. The steak was medium (I ordered medium rare and my hubby ordered medium, and they looked same, so I decided it is close enough) and the chips were crispy. Sauce was good. Happy hour! The pub is for the locals and those who are familiar with the staff and it’s presence, otherwise it won’t survive around fancy gay bars and restaurants. I hope the pub last long, as it’s iconic feature in Taylor square.

Courthouse hotel is in a fantastic location in that part of the city. So much going on. We were promptly asked to show the ServiceNSW check-in and ushered upstairs which has a more bar feeling. The stairway smelt of piss, it was quite intense. Once we got upstairs we were quite surprised, it was a nice layout. We got some snacks, chicken wings, garlic bread, calamari and unfortunately I didn’t love the food. I usually love pub food but this didn’t work for me. On the positive side, the team at Courthouse are lovely, very friendly and attentive.

Please stop letting people over book your venue for Halloween. The host (not staff) was condescending and rude - why you let him misuse your venue only means management doesnt care about their workers, have some backbone and tell him to pay a booking fee Your bar staff obvious was pissed that he crammed 100s of people on the 2nd floor. I gave 5 stars for service as a testament to your staff actually running a bar with limited cups but 1 for everything else. The host is the guy in the top hat in the photo attached.

I booked a room, when I asked where to check in, I was abused by the gaming lady. My partner and his SON were waiting for half an hour outside (when they finally found the booking) while my partner and his kid were waiting - The security guard accused him of being a pedofile. Like WHAT? It's his SON. We finally got to the room and went to relax, The manager then came up, half an hour later, to advise there is no under 18's and asked for the 13 year Olds ID?. Why isn't that advertised ON YOUR WEBSITE. Why did you let us check in knowing he was a child and why is the service here so BAD????

IF YOU HAVE KIDS DONT BOOK HERE. Infact. Don't book here at all. Your money is better spent elsewhere. Trust me. Disgusting. If I could give them no stars I would (But to write this review I had to give them one star 😂) Room was gross. No bathroom. Smelt really bad. Beds uncomfortable, and I'm glad we left because I shouldn't have stooped to this level to start...
