Ā Ā Ā Read moreI hate to be writing an average review cos we used to love Crust a few years back. We left when we felt it wasn't as consistent and we found a better local, but tonight decided to try Crust again because we missed the Paneer pizza. Sadly we won't be back. A few reasons:
The "Large" pizza was tiny. One of the slices was comically small, like smaller than the palm of my hand, and none of the slices were big. It was the same size as the cheesy garlic squares entree. Bro that is not "large".
The crust wasn't good. For a place called "Crust", you'd hope it would be. It was doughy (not in the good fresh-Italian way, in a kind of thick, bready way) and bland. It felt like we got filled up on dough rather than flavourful toppings, if that makes sense.
The paneer pizza didn't have much paneer on it, so it feels like they're cheaping out on the good toppings.
It was more expensive than our usual (Pizza Deli). Pizza Deli has nice big pizzas, free delivery, and you can order half n half for a dollar extra, so you get two flavours with one order. Crust was straight up $6 more for a smaller, worse pizza with one flavour. Just not worth it unfortunately.
Service was all good, delivery on time and friendly, and look the pizza was fine, like I'd still eat it if I was walking past and needed a quick bite or whatever. But yeah, it stays off our list of regular go-to orders because there are just better...
