During our visit in Sydney we came here for breakfast one morning since the place has good reviews and looks very nice from the outside. Unfortunately, we did not have the best experience.

We asked for a filter coffee (which was on the menu) and an iced latte but for some reason none of them were possible to get. Instead we were offered cold brew which we accepted.

When we saw them pouring it we could immediately tell that something was not right and sure enough: it was the worst cold brew I’ve ever tasted and I wouldn’t even call it coffee. It was light brown/orange and looked more like iced tea than anything else (see picture below). It also tasted really bland and bad.

Anyone can make mistakes so I went back to the till and asked if the coffee was really supposed to look like that and said that it tasted bad. I was told that there was nothing wrong with the coffee and that if I wanted it stronger they could top up with some more (I also had some milk in the glass)…

For the sandwiches you could choose which bread you wanted. However, when one of us chose the white bread the person behind the till just said “if you don’t mind we will use another bread instead” without further explanation and even though the white bread was not finished. Very strange.

Sandwiches were ok flavourwise but would still not come back. Shame on a place that...

Be wary allergy-havers!

Love the food here and had been popping in frequently as of late, so bit of a cheeky surprise when I started to have an allergic reaction and ended up in anaphylactic shock across the road at St Vincents after ordering a BLAT and a milkshake as a nice treat for myself. Only to leave the hospital 4hrs later.

Really sad to say I don't think I'll be back anytime soon. It's just not worth the $20-30 and the risk of cross contamination - but if I do miss the panko chicken too badly I guess I'll just have to make sure not to forget my epipen LOL

When I called to ask if they'd just gotten the milks mixed up so I would at least know what I was dealing with, even though the worker was kind and very concerned - offering to remake the meal and asking if I was definitely sure it was their food that caused it was quite the peeve. I hadn't eaten in hours, and there was no further eating happening with my throat closing up the way it was. It's not her fault that it happened - but if management isn't ensuring cross contamination like this doesn't happen, then they should at least prep staff to handle this sort...

Darlo Deli is the Willy Wonka of sandwiches – they've got more creations than you can shake a baguette at! Every time I walk in, I'm overwhelmed by the sheer number of choices, but I've never been disappointed. The staff are absolute stars – friendly, patient, and always happy to help navigate the sandwich labyrinth.

As for the sangas themselves? They're the stuff of dreams. Fresh, perfectly balanced, and bursting with flavor. It's like a flavor party in your mouth, and you're the guest of honor. Do yourself a favor and skip the boring lunch routine. Head to Darlo Deli and get your...

This place was close to the hotel we were staying in Sydney. It’s in the corner of the darlinghurst street. This place have a good view of the green park and st Vincent hospital. We ordered chai latte and hot chocolate for drinking and BEC and Avocado Sandwiches for breakfast. The sandwiches were perfect and absolutely delicious. The way the egg was cooked “simply awesome”. This place accept both card and cash. They do have outdoor seating. Highly recommend this place if you’re traveling Sydney. 👌🏻👍🏻
