Diem Hen Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

A "must come to" for traditional and authentic home style Vietnamese food. Another place in which I will, and have always, returned to for simple and genuine satisfaction... it's like coming home for dinner, seeing as though I've been coming here to eat since the 90's, with the management (Anh Duc) still running it from the day it first opened. Do not expect too much in terms of extravagance even though the menu is quite broad and extensive... Just expect simple flavours that are consistent with coming over to your Vietnamese mate's house to have a meal. That is all I ever expect eating there and that has always been what I keep returning for. I'm not much one to do reviews and such but this place deserves my endorsement so I will from now on add to that with more photos in the future, so that others can see why I'm such an adamant fan. Then they can judge the value of my opinion(s) for the food of this place once they have tried it...

Hom qua gd mình nhà hàng Điểm Hẹn vung Canleyhight, Order đồ ăn, mình thấy bàn kế bên dùng món lẫu đuôi bò, khi họ đứng lên ra về, thì có 1 em trai nhân viên của quán nầy ra dọn dẹp, mình thấy em đó cầm lên 1 dĩa bún trắng mà khách đã dùng rồi, đem đến cái bàn bên trong và để ở đó, thì có 1 cô noi với emTrai đem vào bếp và mình em trai nầy bước thẳng vào bếp. Tôi đang thắc mắc và suy nghĩ, nếu đã dọn bàn thì tại sao đồ ăn thừa và chén ,muỗng dơ V.V… tại sao không dọn cùng 1 lúc, mà chỉ đem 1 dĩa bún vào bên trong , theo các bạn nghĩ sao về việc nầy. Tôi chưa xác định , nhà hàng nầy làm ăn không ổn, có thể họ xài dĩa bún lại cho khách hay Khg? Tại sao đem dĩa bún lại vào bếp mà không đổ thẳng vào thùng rác, tại sao lại dọnchỉ có 1 dĩa bún , trong khi chén bát dơ vẫn còn nhiều trên bàn, Mình chưa có biết câu trả lời. Vi thế mình khuyên các bạn, nếu mình dùng những đồ ăn còn dư, minh nên bỏ chung vào những chén dĩa dơ trên bàn, hoặc bỏ chung và nồi lẫu còn dư ở tận bàn, đề tránh tình trạng như trên vì mình chưa biết sẽ còn xảy ra tương tự hay không . Nếu người Chủ nhà hàng đọc được những lời viết trên đây, nên xắp xếp lại khâu dọn bàn sao cho hợp lý Sợ quá luôn Không dám trở lại lần nữa Chúc mọi người vui vẽ!!!

Yesterday at the meeting point restaurant Canleyhight, Order food, I saw the next table used oxtail hot pot, when they got up to leave, there was a younger brother of this restaurant's staff to clean up, I saw him She picked up a plate of white vermicelli that the customer had already used, brought it to the table inside and left it there, then a girl told Trai to bring it to the kitchen and this brother walked straight into the kitchen. I'm wondering and thinking, if the table has been cleared, why do the leftovers and dirty dishes and spoons etc... why not clean at the same time, but just bring a plate of vermicelli inside, what do you think about it? this. I have not determined, this restaurant is not doing well, maybe they use a plate of vermicelli for customers or Khg? Why bring the plate of vermicelli back to the kitchen without pouring it directly into the trash, why do you only have 1 plate of vermicelli when there are still many dirty dishes on the table, I don't know the answer. Therefore, I advise you, if I use leftovers, I should put them in the dirty dishes on the table, or put them together and the leftover hot pot at the table, to avoid the above situation because I don't know. Will the same thing happen again? When everything in Sydney is closed by 10pm in Sydney, this place stays open till 1am. Now I know where to get my late night Viet cravings sorted, and not only is it the only SE Asian restaurant open anywhere near the Central Western and Central Southern Western sectors of Sydney (say between Strathfield and Parra, going as far down as Cabramatta and East to Sefton), it's pretty busy, food comes out fast and it tastes great. Plus, it's only a 15 minute walk from Canley Vale Station, making it accessible by trains and night ride busses to Fairfield, Parramatta, Strathfield, the city and more!...
