Started 2023, we frequented Dopa Macquarie Centre for dine-in or takeaway. Every time at least one of us would order a salmon meal with rice or soba, as they use king salmon fillet from New Zealand, which tastes much better than the local salmon. However, at some point in 2024, their food quality started to drop, for every 5 salmon fillets we ordered, 2 of the salmon fillets had a foul smell, like fish that has expired or on the verge of expiring. Their manager and kitchen will replace the whole dish for us, whose service we appreciated. That’s why the 3 stars for service. I tried their hupa fish fillet too, but it was even more disappointing than the salmon. Since the opening of a more spacious new branch at Chatswood Chase, we hardly go back to the Macquarie branch anymore —— why should I take the risk and time to visit a branch that is not consistent with their food quality? Response to restaurant: You did mention that the salmon fillets were from the same batch, however, the replacement was not “much better”, but were more acceptable than the previous serve. I didn’t bring them to your attention because it didn’t worth the effort to do so. Other branches such as the ones in CBD and chatswood didn’t have this problem. Don’t make assumptions about your customers satisfaction levels unless they say so, and don’t take my kindness for your advantage. Your response makes your credibility even more questionable.

Sincerely suggest the restaurant rename from DOPA Donburi to GO N Don’t stay We spent less than 20 minutes from the food was served to finishing the meal. This is even more shorter than 288 bus Saturday frequency. Yet our cups and dishes were taken away just a minute after we wiped our mouths and 2-3 minutes later we were being asked by the staff “sorry there’s a queue outside can you leave?” Given I don’t even treat my pet dog in this manner, there are only two possible Justifications: 1. The restaurant sign a special referral program with Macquarie Hospital gastro specialist 2. The restaurants want to maximise the turnover I think we have been a reasonable customer Ordered a meal for each person-doing self serve water and cutlery- rapid speed order at counter and pay credit card charge in respect manner. Given its premium location so close to bus station suggest to visit if you just missed your previous bus and would love to catch the Next one and slip in a meal in between as a staff will send reminder asking you to leave in the accordingly without you setting an alarm or looking at Google Maps all time. Note: food is okay, spent 18.50 per person

Among the Dopa locations where we usually go for lunch or dinner, this is the only one where I felt dissatisfied with the service. Let me rate it based on our experience: **Food: 5 ⭐️** As always, the food at Dopa is excellent. **Service: 2 or 3 ⭐️** I was disappointed when I asked for the soda to accompany the combo miso we ordered. I was told they didn't have any, and we checked the receipt, which didn’t clarify what we had purchased. This left us confused. Later, someone from the bar called out about the Coke Zero we asked for. It would have been better if they had approached us directly instead of shouting from a distance, and a simple apology would have been nice. We do like Dopa, and we will continue to return because they offer really good food. **Tips:** Order at the counter, as the service is not the same as when you order at the bar. I highly recommend the Wagyu Bowl and the Miso Salmon. The combo meals are the best way to enhance your dining experience.

Dopa by Devon is an absolute gem in the world of modern cuisine. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I knew I was in for a dining experience like no other. The ambiance is chic and stylish, striking the perfect balance between sophistication and comfort. The attention to detail in every aspect of the restaurant's design is evident, and it sets the stage for what's to come.

The menu at Dopa is a culinary journey that takes your taste buds on an adventure they won't soon forget. The combination of flavors and ingredients is nothing short of brilliant, showcasing the chef's innovation and expertise. Each dish is a work of art, both visually and in terms of taste. The use of locally sourced, fresh ingredients is commendable and elevates the dining experience to another level.

The staff at Dopa deserves special mention. Their knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot-on, adding a personal touch to the evening. Their attentiveness without being intrusive made the dining experience all the more enjoyable.

Dopa also offers an impressive selection of beverages to complement your meal. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or prefer craft cocktails, there's something for everyone. The pairing options provided by the staff enhance the overall dining experience.

In addition to the wonderful food and attentive service, the attention to cleanliness and safety in light of recent global events is highly commendable. Dopa goes the extra mile to ensure the comfort and well-being of their guests.

Overall, Dopa by Devon is a culinary haven that combines innovation and tradition, ambiance and flavor, and service and warmth. It's the kind of place you'll want to return to again and again. Whether it's a special occasion or just a night out, Dopa is sure to impress and leave you with lasting memories. Devon and the team have truly created something exceptional, and I can't...

Been dining here since last year, the quality has gone DOWN A LOT! Already collected some Doppa points on the app, went to ask how many more points do I actually need to redeem food. The short Asian lady with brown hair just said she didn't know, and instead of trying to help me find out actually started helping the NEXT customer and just left me standing there. I then asked to speak with her manager (this Indian lady), who said I had scan the QR code to collect points which I ALREADY KNEW. Like they don't actually listen to your question, and to this day no one really knows to how to use the points to redeem still.

As many others have mentioned, the food is SEVERELY overpriced. It's normal to pay around $35 per head for a small bowl of beef/salmon don, small salad and miso soup which can be finished in 10 mins.

Lastly, when I ordered the well-done salmon don, they actually gave it to me MEDIUM RARE instead. I did ask one lady to cook it for me, she was quite nice to tried to ask the Indian manager. The manager then just shouted once it's done, you can't bring the food back. What the heck they not only gave the wrong order, they can't even be bothered to spend an extra 2 minutes trying to cook a small piece of fish ridiculous. If the manager herself behaves like this, there's no hope.

Try downstairs Ozeki bowl 1000x...
