I love this starbucks chain its close to where I work so I always come in, usually I get served by a young man who is consistently polite and friendly however the other day I was served by a blonde lady with glasses. She didn't say anything to me as I went to the counter to order, not even a 'hi, how are you?', she just stood there and looked at me with a very flat face and I initiated the order.
I repeated my order to her FOUR TIMES because she was not properly listening the first 3 times even as I said it louder each time and even when I spelt my name out to her she spelt it wrong as I was saying it (not a big deal usually but if you ask how to spell it and I say it out loud for you, you should probably listen and get it right!!!).
I then proceeded to ask if there was a loyalty program I could join as I come here a lot and thought it would be beneficial, she gives me what I thought was a loyalty card and told me to load money onto it (which I thought was a little strange as you usually just get your card stamped or something along those lines but I shrugged it off as I know starbucks does things a little differently to other run of the mill coffee places), I did this waited for my drink and walked away disgusted with her service. I later learnt from a friend that it was a gift card that she had given me and that their loyalty program is via their app, which she failed to explain or even mention!!!
I love this chain because of the good drinks and the other servers but when I see her working there I steer clear now as I find her utterly rude and don't have the time in my day to deal with her snarky and rude attitude. PICK WHO YOU HIRE...
Read moreOpened up my avocado chicken panini sandwich to find two small maggots crawling around and then they burrowed their way back inside the chicken.
I called the store in the morning to let them know and was advised to email the store so they could pass it on to corporate and got no response. When I called the store back in the afternoon to see if I could get a refund, the worker mentioned that this was an issue that other customers complained about.
He said that I couldn't get a refund without a picture and then he recommended I go back and take a photo even though I told him I threw it out.
When I asked if they were going to at least take the sandwiches off display, he assured me they checked the rest of the sandwiches and didn't find any (??? Did they tear apart the sandwiches to check inside them? Wouldn't you just chuck out the rest of a sandwiches if one of them in the batch had literal maggots in it?) so I'm assuming they left them up on the shelves for the other customers to find like the world's worst lottery ticket.
Haven't been able to stop feeling sick all day. Definitely never going to look at a chicken panini the same way again.
Edit: Was able to talk on the phone with the customer service staff at least, they made up for this experience by assuring me this would be followed up with and that the food would be taken off...
Read moreStarbucks... where do i begin? the first time i met eyes with this particular beverage chain- there was an undeniable chemistry. i knew this was the first meeting of many. i scanned the menu, unsure where to even begin. the Shaken Hibiscus Iced Tea Lemonade caught my attention. i ordered one, and soon the vibrant pink drink arrived. It was at once sweet and tart, with just the right amount of tang. delicious. refreshing. i returned, a few weeks later; i was in need of a coffee hit. this time, i ordered an iced latte with lactose free milk. it was most satisfactory... but something was missing. on my next trip, i noticed the iced caramel macchiato. the picture on the menu barely did it justice; little did i know how she would steal my heart. this time, when my drink arrived, it was with an extra drizzle of caramel, and using beans from ethiopia, which cost me an extra 40c. it was worth it. i will never forget my first sip of the sweet, honey caramel, mixed with a clean, robust shot of coffee- delightful. starbucks has changed my life, and i will never...
