There are people who think they can make a good cup of coffee and there are those who know how to make a good cup of coffee. Dan is the young bloke with the tasteful tattoos who runs a quality café in downtown Kogarah an is responsible for making the perfect brew. With the flick of the wrist he skilfully flings one of the cups from the stack and goes about making the best caffeine hit you’re likely to enjoy all day. It helps when the blend is White Horse. But beyond the perfect caffeine injection is the array of tempting breakfast choices on offer. I can’t resist passing up the house omelette. It’s filled with the freshest ingredients of mushrooms, capsicum, onion and draped in the tastiest of melted cheese. It’s by far the best omelette in the area, and I’ve had a few. The eggs Benedict was given the seal of approval by Mrs T. The servings are generous. The flavours are mouth watering. The presentation outstanding. We are regulars at Kay Geez. Don’t go past this little treasure when next in Kogarah.

Literally the best business in Kogarah. Such a fantastic atmosphere, and the customer service is outstanding from all staff—Dan, Cathy, Jess, Tanvi, Emma, Kris and the lovely people who work behind the scenes do absolutely everything to brighten everyone’s day. Their menu has some of the most sensational food selections, and I haven't had a single miss with anything I’ve tried. The Nutella frappe has got to be one of the best things ever invented (thanks, Dan 😎). Lastly, they’re very community-focused. I work in the mobility aids store across the road, and there’s a wide range of people from the community that pass through Belgrave St. If you’re ever at St George Hospital or studying at the Clive James Library, do yourself a favour and pay a visit to Kay Geez.

Best coffee in Kogarah! I was stuck in hospital for an extended period and my wife found this excellent coffee to lift my spirits. She also told me about the cheerful staff and the kindness that she experienced there, during a tough time for us. Really appreciate this.

I popped in last week and saw raisin toast that was wholemeal (rare!!!) so was keen to come back and try. Not disappointed! The barista is delightful and obviously loves what he does. He happily changed my order from capuccino to brewed cardamom chai when I saw the sign for it and was genuinely pleased to have me try it. I sat here for about an hour as my husband was at the hospital having a test, plenty of time to note that the service was no accident. It's a busy cafe, great music, clientele all ages and I could see that there were many regulars acknowledged by the staff. A lovely positive experience, especially when it's close to the hospital and people may need a welcoming spot to chill and breathe. Ordered a Prana Chai to stay a bit longer. Would...
