The gelato is smooth, dense and creamy at the same time. Full of flavour that packs a punch. You can taste test flavours so I tried tiramisu (to me...very strong alcoholic flavour) and chocolate (sweet). I decided on pistachio and hazelnut, which were nutty and intense. The service is friendly and helpful and the shop is tiny but the range of flavours is authentically Italian. They even have fior de pana...is that correctly spelt ? So glad that gelato shops in Australia are now serving these classic type of Italian flavours. The pricing is interesting. $ 7 something, $ 8 something then $ 10 something. Sorry for the vagueness. The small size being 1 scoop can be half scoops so you can have 2 flavours, half half. Never seen that before but it is an excellent idea. It really is an authentic style gelateria where the gelato is stored in the cannisters and scooped on a cone or into a cup. Highly recommend a try...coming from a...
Read moreI made a special trip to visit this shop. I think I visited on a bad day. There was a wide choice of flavours and the few we tried were excellent and not overly sweet. The Hazelnut/Almond combo was to die for. Very nice. The problem we had was that the gelato was melting too quickly. There was a significant amount of liquid in the cups as they handed them to us. It was a very hot day but it was clear the fridges were not cold enough. I watched the girl scoop the gelato and some were coming out very wet (yes I know it is not stored as cold as ice cream and this was definitely warmer than -10°c). The Stracciatella strangely was made on the spot with vanilla ice cream and chocolate via a squeeze bottle as it was being...
Read moreGelato was good and very nice staff - but my friend ordered a plain chocolate Gelato and there was a random small peanut in it which triggered his allergic reaction (peanuts were not an ingredient or allergy item listed for chocolate on the menu). I can't rate it higher if the store is letting other ingredients slip into other products - especially something like a peanut which people are allergic to and could hurt them. I know it's not intentional but come on... Do better, especially for the prices. Like I said, very nice servers - obviously not...
