It would be very easy to give Fei Jai more stars, but they lose on a very simple item, which I’ll talk about later. The food is very fresh and has some great flavours, only two diners so all dishes were served. A great idea to serve Salt and Pepper Squid (or was it crab) served with the salt on the side, well done here, this dish is often far to salty, but this way you can make how you like. A few side dishes of veggies, which were also low in the salt department which is a lovely change. We then had the Duck with Tamarind sauce. This was a big surprise for us, Tamarind is usually served over sweet, but here they obviously, somehow cut the sugary sweetness way down and both the Duck and Tamarind were very tasty. The chef needs congratulations here, The service is pleasant, but could be improved which brings me to the point I raised earlier. They have a very extensive wine list, but when their ‘wine by the glass’ seems to change on a regular basis as it is not listed on the wine list, but if you want a glass of wine you are either to ask a waiter or look at a so called blackboard, which is on one wall, all outside diners have to get up and see the board only to find very very scant information about grape varieties, area, etc. to ascertain more information you have to ask a waiter - if you are lucky you will find a waiter with some wine knowledge, but we did not have this privilege. I like to change wines during the dinner, and with two of us (which was most tables), this became difficult. We ended up having a very washed out French wine with no taste that was recommended to us as a very tasty and rich French wine- feel a little duped. The first time I went, it would have been in their first week and thought the wine boxes around the restaurant was a start up glitch, as the restaurant was re-fitted out before opening and storage would have been apart of the fit out, the boxes still litter the restaurant and lowers the entire ambiance. The wine list they can rectify, think the boxes...

I am trying hard to find something good to say about this place. The food was mediocre and the service was so horrible. Having paid $85pp I would have expected much, much more.

Firstly our reservation was at 6:15pm our mains did not arrive until 7:45pm. I had complained twice. First time to our waiter at 7:30pm, then second time to the manager at 7:40pm. The waiter was friendly said that he would check, however when I politely reminded the manager 10mins later he aggressively barked at me “it is coming!”

Our crispy beef strips came out cold, the roast duck was soggy. The pork was nothing special, I would have expected that quality from a food court takeaway store at $2 per box at closing time. Cold but still crunchy and for $2 I can’t complain. But at $34 it was awful.

The roast duck with lychee sounded good on paper. I expected a good balance between savory, sour and sweet. However it came out salty and because we had gotten the dish soggy, the duck felt oily and fatty. The lychee did nothing to cut through the grease. This was the first time in my entire life to leave roast duck unfinished as it is my all time favourite dish.

The rice came out with a spoon stuck in middle. Although I’m not superstitious, in Chinese culture you only serve food items with utensils stuck in them when you are honouring the dead. It is taboo and extremely rude in Chinese culture and for a Chinese fusion restaurant I had expected them to at least be culturally appropriate.

I gave them one star because the waiter did apologise to us twice. He then shouted us some cocktails and dessert, however the manager who was rude to me never even came out, let alone offer an apology.

Also, do not expect this restaurant to clear out your plates between entrées and mains. I have included a picture of how cramped our table during the mains.

Final tip: do NOT get a two hour parking spot as I had to move my car before our roast duck arrived. Find a spot that has at...

From the moment I walked into Feijai Restaurant, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The friendly staff made me feel right at home, and their attentiveness throughout my dining experience was commendable.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the dumplings. I must say, your dumplings are nothing short of extraordinary. The delicate dough, expertly crafted and perfectly cooked, encased the most delectable fillings I have ever tasted. Each bite was a burst of flavor that left me wanting more. The balance of seasoning and texture in the filling was impeccable, and the accompanying dipping sauce elevated the taste to new heights.

Not only were the dumplings a culinary delight, but the presentation was also impeccable. The attention to detail in the plating made each dish a work of art. It was evident that great care was taken to ensure that every element on the plate was visually appealing and appetizing.

In addition to the outstanding food, I must commend your staff for their exceptional service. They were knowledgeable about the menu, provided helpful recommendations, and ensured that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Their genuine passion for hospitality and their dedication to creating a memorable experience for guests is truly commendable.

Feijai Restaurant has truly set the bar high for dumplings. It is evident that your team takes great pride in their craft and is committed to delivering an exceptional dining experience. I cannot wait to return and explore more of your menu offerings.

Thank you for consistently delivering excellence in both food and service. Feijai Restaurant has undoubtedly become my go-to place for dumplings, and I will gladly recommend it to all my...

Supermarket chili sauce is usually a bad portent. Here, it was trending away from disaster, despite the paint by numbers pseudo Chinese, China doll wannabe menu. The food came quickly and the ingredients were mid quality, cleanly prepared....albeit bland as a 5 star concrete pavement. Service started friendly and efficient, and slowly deteriorated....a forgotten dish was quickly replaced, though silently. After we finished our mains, they were cleared, and the bill presented..."gee, I liked the look of the dessert menu"...no answer, as the machine was brought with all the service culture of someone on the wrong end of a basket of fries. "Pity, I really was looking forward to dessert "...nothing...did my photo resemble an identikit of the guy that stole your car? Guess so. This place isn't bad. It just isn't anything anyone would ever remember, for flavour, authenticity or dining experience.

If you are after delicious Chinese food with equally amazing service, this is the place to go!! We went for my sister’s birthday and we found the staff so accomodating, funny and helpful. The food was incredible, the chicken potstickers and stir fry flat rice noodles in particular were standouts. I’m still thinking about those noodles hours later. Couldn’t recommend this place enough
