George's — Restaurant in Sydney

This place has very recently had new ownership and staff take over and it’s not the same as it used to be. Prices have increased and the menu has became smaller. I used it really love going to this cafe on the weekend it was a highlight for me. I found out the cafe staff had changed when I went today and so did the menu with really saddens me, I intentionally went to this one over the cafe 200 m away because it was simple and quiet now the menu has changed and the food quality is less. This was my local for years and now I need to find something else but this area has nothing else so best to have my coffee and avocado bagel at home going forward. Nice little gem of a cafe that I have been going to for a few years. The owner is hardworking, humble and empathetic.

I usually come here to work on side projects as it's quiet and the couch seats have at least 2 sets of powerpoints. Has the right vibe for productivity, and nice music that is not overbearing.

Great initiative and such a cute setup but it’s a shame that the food and coffee were way below average. We got served an overcooked omlette which was not even properly mixed and the coffee was the worst.
