Gong Cha Eastwood — Restaurant in Sydney

At 11am today I went in to order a Panda milk tea. I was very excited the 2 chinese ladies who took my order was nice and fast when I spoke to them and made my purchase. I ordered with them in english. As soon as I finished ordering they started speaking in Mandarin to eachother and said "wow I can't believe someone is ordering this she is the first one". She also said "isn't this just the same as the other drink with less tea and more expensive". The other staff told her to "shhh" but she continued and said "haha this person".

I think its abit unprofessional to talk about customers in this way behind their back when they think I won't understand their language. It's also damaging to store image if they belittle or talk negatively regarding a product they are advertising.

It's not really a big deal but I felt abit strange purchasing the promotion drink as the staff made me feel like I made the wrong choice and could have ordered the same drink...

Good drinks! However worst customer service. Especially from the manager! My family and I came on a Tuesday night & the blonde lady with glasses (most likely the manager) was ignoring myself & the customers behind me, waiting to get inside the store. She had shut the lights as we approached, packing up. When she walked out we asked why they’re closing so early when the operating hours on the door stated they shut their doors at 10pm. I gave up Bubble Tea for good months ago but thought I might have just one as nothing else was open. So I order a passionfruit green tea. It tastes nothing like passionfuit and likely, because they didn't clean out the blender properly from the last drink it tastes slightly creamy because of it. That's all I'm getting, slightly creamy, sweet and slightly juice like but no Passionfruit flavour whatsoever.

Gong Cha has gone severely downhill and a shell of its former self. I've found much better drinks with much less sugar. Maybe I'd still be drinking bubble tea though if this wasn't ever as consistent an...
